It is also a very good location, close to the space needle and pike market place, and there's a trolley service straight to Elliot bay book company and pioneer square.

To justify the cost and the location you do have to stay in a waterfront room - a room on the city side (as you can see from the photo, taken from the top of the Space Needle) really would not do a stay at the Edgewater justice.

We walked everywhere, the location is very convenient to all downtown sites.

Take a taxi - they're everywhere and come to pick you up within minutes.

Located on the waterfront adjacent to downtown it is an approximate 20-30 minute ride from the airport.

Being English and used to small hotel rooms we found our room just perfect with an amazing bathroom, beautifully comfortable bed, great terrace overlooking the ocean and cosy fireplace.

Perfect bed, pillows and I loved the fireplace and beautifully decorated bathroom with a claw-foot tub and full glass shower.

The room was very clean; each room has a fireplace; the bed was very comfortable; and the bathroom has a beautiful stone shower.

The next moring we were told we could upgrade to a king bed and water side room for an extra 50 a night.

The rollaway was only a single -- barely was large enough for one of the kids and there was NO WAY there would have been enough space in the room for a second rollaway, so one of our children had to sleep in the bed with us.

A note about the restaurant: breakfast and lunch was amazing, very friendly staff and excellent food.

We ate appetizers in the restaurant one evening and had breakfast one morning.

The restaurant is very expensive -- maybe it "hops" on the weekends, but a few of us ate lunch in there one day, and we were the "only ones"-- I never saw more than just a very few people dining in there for either lunch or dinner.

We got a great deal through Hotels that included a waterfront view, parking and a full delicious breakfast which could either be room service or at the hotel restaurant on directly the water!

Our breakfast at the hotel's restaurant was great and we enjoyed the easy walk from the hotel to Pike's Place Market in the morning to see the sights before we caught a car to the airport.

The hotel front desk staff were absolutely wonderful as well as housekeeping and the housekeeping manager.

The front desk staff, valets, and maids were all very friendly and helpful (especially the maids – every one we passed had a cheerful smile).

The elevator is halfway down that hallway, not near the lobby.

The hotel lobby has a large sitting area with floor to ceiling windows, a fireplace and library area where there are comfotable chairs and tables with games nearby.

There is a free hotel shuttle that will pick you up and drop you off if you are traveling in the downtown area.

I was easily able to connect to the wireless network that they have available through the hotel.

The hotel offers wireless internet for a fee.

Our room was kept clean and we were provided with any extras we requested.

Courteous service, clean rooms, quiet, and a wonderful lobby!

Rough stone tile floor in bathroom - no way it could be kept clean - a haven for yucky stuff like maybe plantar wart viruses!
