Ideally located near the central station, excellent location and very convenient for all the sights of Amsterdam.

That being said, I found the location perfect for the first-time traveler to Amsterdam simply because it's in very close proximity to many of the places a new tourist visits.

Good location (5 mins from Dam Square) and near train station too.

Easy walk to the train station - - much better value to get to/from the airport than a taxi.

45Euros for a taxi & the train stops in the main airport concourse.

I had booked twin rooms and since only 1 of the 3 twins booked was available they upgraded 1 room and put a portable bed in the third bedroom, as my son and his male friend refused to share a double bed.

The room was at the front of the hotel (250) and had 3 large windows, a huge blissfully comfortable bed, a bathroom with a double shower and a separate WC.

Before eating breakfast, we went out onto the street to try to find a less expensive restaurant but didn't find anything since it isn't a very touristy location.

THe comfortable beds, the bar was very nice too and the breakfast was included was the fabulous buffet.

Housekeeping came early AM, but respected the Do Not Disturb sign.

Housekeeping was excellent although last time we stayed the tea and coffee was replenished in large quantities but not this time.
