Clarendon Hotel Blackheath Village

It is near Bloomsbury Square, which is nice location and close to Oxford Street.

The location was very nice and the hotel was in a great locattion for the 02.

Great location, quite but very near the tube station.

Great view, the receptionist ordered a Taxi for us and the bus picks up outside the hotel.

Do not ask reception at this hotel to order a taxi for you as they will book one that is twice the price of a normal cab.

Our room, not small at all, had a good sized double bed, dressing table, stereo, hair dryer, TV of course, and a really clean good sized bathroom with full-sized bath.

The bedroom was very small but with nice furniture, comfortable bed and nothing to say about the bathroom.

Super kingsize bed and a double sofa so pleanty of room if you take the children.

The room, on the top floor, was small (a gap of about twelve inches between the foot of the bed and the opposite wall), but very comfortable.

The rooms were above average size for a London hotel and there was always an adequate supply of towels and hot water in the en-suite.

On the plus side, the breakfast was OK, although the mushrooms weren't wondeful, the bar was reasonable, and there was limited free parking (just get there early).

In the evening the breakfast room also doubles up to become an excellent restaurant.

Beds comfy+breakfasts plentiful, great food.

Only negative was cost of breakfast if you wanted to eat there.

Unfortunately did not spend much time around the hotel, the staff were helpful and the breakfast was excellent even the dining room was very busy.

Service given by security man assisted in ensuring i got a parking space, all staff especially the dining room staff were very obliging and friendly, coffee was so happy.

Therefore, I phoned reception to ask if they had any larger rooms available and the receptionist said she would phone back.

After 20 minutes, we went down for breakfast & I popped to reception, assuming it would be too busy for the 'poor' receptionist to have had time to check the computer and call me back.

However, reception was deserted of clientele, but there were plenty of chatting staff.

Yes its central and clean but for the price you would get a nicer larger lobby, bigger elevator or some facilities included.

The staff are quite friendly if not overly so and there is adequate car parking outside for anyone bringing a car.

An lift was added probably during the renovation, which you sometimes wouldn't have if you stay in an old hotel in London.

The room was clean+tidy, buffet breakfast was excellent.

Friendly helpful staff, large room and clean and great breakfast included in price.

Rooms spotless and of importance the staff were excellent very friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Pleasant staff, nice sized rooms and all very clean.

My room was not luxurious but cosy, very clean, and had everything I needed, while the public areas - especially the restaurant!
