Clarence Hotel Dublin - 都柏林

Having lived in Dublin for a few years it helped to have a reasonable knowledge of the area and the location of the hotel - which is centrally located for everything you need in Dublin.

Good location, hotel was well located and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location is perfect, very close to the hop on- hop off buses.

It is easy to get to and from the airport by taxi.

Then they called us a cab to the airport.

Had a mini-bar fully stocked, internet access in the room, dvd player, stereo, 3 rooms, clean, bed was very comfortable, had air conditioning, close to everything, staff was friendly and helpful, access to gym.

Bedroom is contemporary, with huge comfy bed, a small balcony and a slightly tired-looking bathroom (cracked tiles on floor), but good Contemporel amenities and purple slippers.

The bed, however, could definitely be replaced with something less utilitarian and squeaky and the tub in our bathroom was badly stained.

Spent 4 nights enjoying the Octagon Bar, lovely breakfasts (absolutely amazing smoked salmon) in the Tea Room, frequent towel replacement, exquisite bed linens, fluffy robes.

The room itself was quite large with an LCD tv, CD and DVD player and an enormous comfortable bed.

The Bar was closed while I was there but the restaurant we ate breakfast at was also very nice, though maybe a bit over priced.

Had a great meal in the restaurant and breakfast was huge.

We got a very good deal (I did shop around some of the other upmarket hotels round town) and booked one of the hotel's special packages including dinner and breakfast in the Tea Room restaurant.

We found ourselves wandering around Temple Bar from restaurant to restaurant looking for a nice restaurant to eat in, all of them were fully booked, weeks in advance.

We did not eat in the restaurants on site or even try the bar.

Excellent service although a couple of the receptionists and the Head Waiter were a bit snooty, the other staff (concierge, waitreses and wine waiteress) more than made up for them.

The concierge was friendly and helpful but the front desk could have used some training in customer service.

Instead, a half hour later, I walked by the front desk to see the front desk manager and the concierge working together with needle and thread to fix my jacket!

The rooms are excellent and the reception staff efficient.

We had been told that celebrities frequently stay here, and indeed, we ended up stuck in the elevator with a very nervous Pamela Anderson in her bathrobe.

Much to the envy of many posters, we DID get to meet Bono and his son in the lobby as he returned from his second concert.

The elevator was down for 2 days, so we walked up to fourth floor.

Very comfortable beds and meticulously clean.

We had no view from our room, but it was clean and well appointed.

Check in was top class, room was spotless but very warm and all staff were exceptional.

I was generously upgraded to a suite which was comfortably big and impeccably clean.

The rooms are all very clean, the staff is fairly friendly, but it is no four seasons.
