Chester Grosvenor Hotel - 切斯特

The location of the hotel is excellent, being right in the centre of town and there is no other hotel of a superior standard that is more centrally located.

The hotel location is superb, just next to the east wall clock, giving easy access to the centre of Chester and a short walk from all the other areas of attraction.

The Chester Grosvenor Hotel has the perfect location within Chester, right in side the old city walls.

The noise is not really loud (I happily slept through it - although my partner struggled more) and the hotel have installed secondary glazing to the beautiful original windows, but you could still hear the odd lively soul/taxi.

From the moment you set foot in this hotel you are transported back in time.

We stayed in a Deluxe room with the biggest bed I have ever seen, the room was lovely, comfortable and clean - the bathroom was spotless and the bath robes and slippers an excellent touch.

Our room had an enormous very comfortable bed, an excellent TV, an adequate bathroom, and air-conditioning which worked.

We had booked in to one of their executive rooms on a dinner, bed and breakfast rate but when we got there they had seemingly upgraded us to one of their four poster rooms (Mayfair Suite).

Bed was enormous, room spacious, bathroom nice (Moulton Brown complimentary toiletries).

The room was large and clean as well as the bathroom,but it was impossible to sleep in the extra-bed that I have requested for my son!

We had our evening meal in the La Brasserie restaurant which was very poor for a 5 star hotel,the breakfast was worse with some things on a limited menu unavailable.

The foyer is modest by modern standards but it opens onto the Brasserie and a rather posh bar adjacent to the Arkle restaurant.

After a half hour "wait" in the bar we were guided to the restaurant downstairs (the barman carried our drinks down the stairs and to the table for us).

For all it was nice to eat in the comfort of our room & in my pyjamas the food was of a slightly lesser standard to that when dining in the restaurant.

Booked 1 night on a special deal which included a deluxe room, breakfast, and dinner for 2 in the Arkle restaurant.

Reception was interesting - don't expect a huge marble lobby with desk and faceless staff and computer screens - this is an altogether more civilised affair - some tables and chairs for individual service.

Comfortable hotel excellent service and attentive staff.

Due to the fact that the service is very popular, it can take a while for the food to reach the room, but this is no different to room services in most top class hotels we have experienced.

Car parking was convenient and the first impression of the lobby was favourable if a little formal.

Looking round the hotel we found the gym and spa which were both exellent.

There was a PC that was readily accessible and would allow connection to the Internet for those that wished to do so.

The hotel was superb, the staff were never intrusive and the room was clean and comfortable.

The room was very clean and comfortable - a great hotel to stay in.

Despite getting in early to clean the bathroom, they never replenished any of the toiletries in the bathroom.

My room was spacious, clean, and well appointed.

It was again extremely clean & finished to a high standard but slightly lacked in grandure to the rest of the room/hotel.
