    We chose the Berkeley because of its great location-- safe, lots of people out and about, tons of good restaurants and bars all around.

    All in all, I think it would be hard to beat the location, I highly recommend the restaurant, and both the room and service were great.

    If I was ever in Richmond I would stay here again as it is in a very convenient location and is a nice hotel.

    Walking distance from great bars and location was perfect for our needs.

    First of all has a great location and better values.

    The bed was perfectly comfortable and the room and bathroom were well appointed.

    The bathroom had very nice, new marble tile and excellent toiletries, but there was a typical uninviting bathtub/shower as in an apartment and not a romantic soaking tub (not expected, would have been nice).

    Service were great, the bed was very comfortable and our breakfast downstairs was delicious.

    Most comfortable beds in any hotel I have ever stayed and rooms are very spacious.

    Comfortable bed = yes, just steps away from the best bars and comfy pillows.

    There is also a very good restaurant onsite , with a quiet and cozy little bar.

    The staff is impeccable and the restaurant’s cuisine is superior.

    After checking in and enjoying the room for a while, we walked a few blocks to a great bar/restaurant called Bank (it's in an old bank building) and then returned to the Berkeley hotel for dinner.

    We had a delicious breakfast both mornings in the pleasant dining room.

    The hotel staff was exceptional, the front desk was friendly and accomodating, the room was indeed just fine.

      The room had a private patio overlooking the city of Richmond, the decor was probably very good in the mid-eighties and the staff was friendly. Bathroom were well appointed and the service there were far above average - delicious food. Maids all were attentive and polite, check-in was great.

      My $160 daily rate was pretty good for the area, the hotel was clean and most of the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, service at the restaurant was excellent and check-in was great.

      Great location to get to down town dining and an excellent hotel that is upscale without attitude. The staff are wonderful, the rooms are very nice and the restaurant is good.

      As always an exceptional stay and the location is perfect for the federal court house. The Staff at the Berkeley are always accomodating, the rooms are comfortable.
