      MH has a nice beach but the hotel is overpriced and dated, and there's nothing else spectacular about the area.

      The facility has a beautiful location, hotel Alta is an extraordinarily comfortable place to stay and the staff is truly prompt.

      Perfect location in Escazu, the ritzy section of San Jose.

      First off, it is conveniently located to the San Jose airport.

      Spanish style hotel convenient to the airport.

      We had a junior suite for $175 which could fit a family of five- a bedroom with 2 beds plus a living room with a pull out couch.

      However, the service is apathetic, the beds are old and worn, the linens are harsh, the towels are tattered with strings hanging from them, the rooms are not clean in appearance and our room reeked of mildew.

      The beds and linens, however, are awful - it even felt like there were bugs crawling all over you while in bed.

      Also, we had booked a room for 2 pax, but encountered only 1 towel in the bathroom.

      Amazing jacuzzi style bathtub, pleasant service and the hot water did not work in our first room.

      We ate at La Luz restaurant twice for dinner and breakfast.

      Ask for Marlon or Marvin at the bar and restaurant they will take care of you!

      La Luz restaurant, situated in the Hotel, has a well-deserved reputation as one of Costa Rica's best restaurants.

      The next morning we had breakfast at LA LUZ Restaurant in the Hotel.

      Professional staff, good rooms and from housekeeping to front desk to the excellent restaurant.

      The service throughout this hotel was excellent and the entire staff were friendly.

      Marvin from La Luz the restaurant on the premises were GREAT, the hotel was so charming and the front desk staff was helpful and professional.

      The reception staff were excellent, our room was very comfortable.

      I didn't have time to visit the pool or gym, but had a nice visit nontheless.

      However, the sauna was not in working condition and the pool had some sort of yellow caution tape across it so it was unclear whether it was in usable condition or not.

      The hotels elaborate architecture, everything from the arched door frames to the gorgeous pool area pointed to the care and attention to detail that was put into designing the property.

      The service was excellent and bathroom by the pool was exceptionally clean.

      Sitting on the spacious balcony watching the sun set over the city is a spectacularly beautiful experience, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the restaurant La Luz is awesome.

        A wonderful view, mH has a nice beach and spanish style hotel convenient to the airport. Also the service was friendly, the balcony off of the rooms were so SWEET and the onsite restaurant was excellent.

        Large bathroom area and there's a cheap bar/restaurant 4 minutes walk down the road. The Hotel is great and the guest services representative is very helpful. The room has its own private balcony, the food is excellent.

        The building is old, wines are quite expensive.

        Near many shopping areas in the Escazu area and thanks ALTA for an amazing stay. A beautiful pleasant staff, comfortable beds/pillows and the high ceilings. Food excellent and a good choice. Pool was nice.

        There's nothing else spectacular about the area and the hotel has a great view of the Santa Ana valley. Amazing jacuzzi style bathtub, pleasant service and the hot water did not work in our first room. The breakfast was very good and the pool was nice.

        Has wonderful views of the Central Valley and the restaurant "La Luz" has a nice atmosphere. Extreamely helpful staff and comfortable beds/pillows. Reasonable food.

        A little garden nearby and textures in an old world style.

        The view from the private patios of Costa Rica's mountains and the Hotel Alta has a very impressive website. Additionally service were excellent, balcony was nice and the restaurant was gorgeous.
