The staff ensures you have a very very good time, they are well managed and efficient. The rooms are tidy and extremely pleasant with a nice view and bathroom plus toiletries. The breakfasts are excellent freshly cooked with views overlooking the river and fresh local ingredients and toast. The location is riverside.
As we remember, there was no elevator.

The hotel was excellent value and homey, yet I stayed for 1 night only. The food was outstanding, very good service. Lovely location in a beautiful setting, all was very good. Further, it was short walk to the running river and the river bank. I loved staying here and would definitely book again.

We had a delightful dinner at the restaurant. While my steak and chips were excellent, my partner's meal was not up to par. The potatoes were undercooked and the asparagus was also disappointing. However, the restaurant manager was incredibly understanding and deducted the price of my partner's meal. The dining room had a lovely old-fashioned ambiance.
Despite some minor issues, such as a jaded room and a cramped bathroom, our stay at this hotel was enjoyable. The hotel is an old building, so these issues were not unexpected, and everything seemed clean.

John
Riverside location, within walking distance of Buckfast Methodist Chapel. And near to the river front, Buckfast Abbey and Buckfastleigh Steam railway station and Dartmoor.
-
Harold
The best thing was how excellent the staff were. The hotel's location was excellent, short walk to Buckfastleigh Steam railway station and the river bank. Apart from that, D-Day was 10 minutes' drive away.
