The staff ensures you have a very very good time, they are well managed and efficient. The rooms are tidy and extremely pleasant with a nice view and bathroom plus toiletries. The breakfasts are excellent freshly cooked with views overlooking the river and fresh local ingredients and toast. The location is riverside.

As we remember, there was no elevator.

Thoroughly enjoyed excellent freshly cooked breakfasts!!

The restaurant had good meals. The location was magnificent and very pretty with exceptional views. Visited St Luke's Church, one of the tourist spots, located at a walking distance from the hotel.

The location was perfect and quiet for first time visitors to Buckfastleigh. The hotel was in a perfect area. The restaurant was very nice with friendly and helpful staff, I tried appetising dishes.

    Their staff were unacceptable.

The hotel was excellent value and homey, yet I stayed for 1 night only. The food was outstanding, very good service. Lovely location in a beautiful setting, all was very good. Further, it was short walk to the running river and the river bank. I loved staying here and would definitely book again.

Well, it was a very pleasant stay for one night. The hotel's location was riverside, lovely by the river. And it was also short walk to the pub as well as Buckfastleigh.

Provides excellent freshly cooked and splendid breakfasts!

The room is good-sized and recently renovated and essentials you need, including an ironing set, tea and coffee making facilities, and a TV, is right there. The setting is excellent, it's adjacent to explained establishment under refurbishment programme, Exeter and Plymouth and a nice river.

Useful base for discovering Buckfastleigh. Good sized standard king room, comfortable beds. The staff - well managed and friendly efficient. A quiet atmosphere around the place. Quiet and ideal setting in the perfect area, just next door to Exeter and Plymouth, and Buckfastleigh Steam railway station.

Staff were very helpful and efficient at any hour!!

The breakfast with views overlooking the river was served in the restaurant. The hotel had a riverside setting right beside the pub. Moreover, it was just off a nice river, which is super agreeable, Buckfast and Buckfastleigh Steam railway station.

Homely place with excellent staff and outstanding food. Lovely and beautiful location to the river rushing through, easy to get around. Also - not far from the South Devon Railway, explained establishment under refurbishment programme and the glorious Buckfast Abbey.

Would definitely book again as it was a lovely stay for one night. The location is lovely and amazing, in a beautiful area.

We had a delightful dinner at the restaurant. While my steak and chips were excellent, my partner's meal was not up to par. The potatoes were undercooked and the asparagus was also disappointing. However, the restaurant manager was incredibly understanding and deducted the price of my partner's meal. The dining room had a lovely old-fashioned ambiance.

Despite some minor issues, such as a jaded room and a cramped bathroom, our stay at this hotel was enjoyable. The hotel is an old building, so these issues were not unexpected, and everything seemed clean.

Riverside location, within walking distance of Buckfast Methodist Chapel. And near to the river front, Buckfast Abbey and Buckfastleigh Steam railway station and Dartmoor.

The best thing was how excellent the staff were. The hotel's location was excellent, short walk to Buckfastleigh Steam railway station and the river bank. Apart from that, D-Day was 10 minutes' drive away.
