Terme Di Saturnia Spa & Golf Resort

Great location and standing under the various theraputic fountains.

Speaking of distance, a very expensive car service from the local train station made for a hellish and very expensive journey from London (plane, two trains and a two hour taxi ride).

Loaded with plankton and minerals from the underground source, the thermal waters are incredibly healing.

We had a junior suite which had a handicapped bathroom with a wheel in shower and sink and grab bars, as well as a regular bathroom with a tub and separate shower stall.

We had the opportunity to be in the Terme di Saturnia Hotel for a complimentary three-days stay, in a junior suite, bed and breakfast.

Our room (a junior suite) was very spacious, with marble everywhere.

The steam room was small plastic trailer with a noisy generator, the treatment rooms are sparse and medical, but you can overhear the old people complaining loudly about their problems next door.

The door opened to a large room and good food.

The dining rooms, bar, lounge areas, gift shops and many of the spa treatment rooms are on the first floor and easily accessible by wheelchair.

Breakfast is very good (you have also low-cal options), and the two restaurants (one poolside, but U have to consider the smell.

The food is superb and on par with 4 star restaurants we ate at in other areas of Italy.

With regard to the dining room, we were more than pleased with the variety and quality of food at both breakfast and dinner.

Hotel Terme di Saturnia is a lovely and the two restaurants serve good food for a reasonable price.

All of the hotel desk staff members spoke excellent english, service was good and professional, the room was large enough to comfortably maneuver a wheelchair.

Price is great and the service is excellent.

The hotel is a very nice and the spa services are good.

The pool area has cheap plastic chairs and the sauna is worse than any city gym, its like a small trailer with sticky plastic seats.

Starting from the lobby, you can smell sulphur (hey it's a real spa, after all), and this smell is just about everywhere.

Also food is nice, wine is also excellent and the spa is wonderful too.

Our room was clean and the restaurant was excellent.

It's not cheap, but the staff are charming and the rooms fine - not five star but perfectly comfortable and clean.
