It's also well located for a walk up Arthur's Seat or around Salisibury Craggs - overall you couldn't really ask for a better location in Edinburgh.

As far as location is concerned, the hotel is situated in the heart of the university area, just off the main campus of Edinburgh University.

The location is very good, just a 10 minute walk from Waverley and ten Hill Place is very well located for exploring all of Edinburgh's fantastic attractions.

It's on the other side from Waverley Station and the airport bus stop; getting up the hill from Waverley to the hotel in 10 minutes with your cases would be no mean feat.

For those less inclined to walking, you're just around the corner from a bus stop and taking a taxi to Prince's Street costs only a few pounds.

The room wasn't huge but it was big enough and was furnished very nicely: lovely comfortable bed, flatscreen TV with freeview channels and a great bathroom.

The plumbing was also noisy apart from these two minor irritations no other complaintsThe decor in the bedrooms was good and a nice firm bed although I do agree that the furniture is shoehorned into the room.

From start to finish my stay was a thoroughly enjoyable one, with an excellent room, a very comfortable bed, and a really superior bathroom.

The restaurant only serve very simple food for the evening but being so close to the city centre, you can easily find some great restaurants to eat.

There is no restaurant in the hotel for lunches and dinners but as there are many lovely restaurants in Edinburgh its no real miss.

Friendly helpful staff, lovely bar, great clean rooms and a breakfast to die for (but couldn't face the haggis - sorry guys).

We would also recommend the restaurants that we found - the Ruan thai restaurant just off Cockburn Street and also Herbe Bistro on George IV Bridge Road.

The room we stayed in (No:109) was immaculate, spacious, clean and fresh with many amenities.

Moreover you get a clean room and excellent referrals to close restaurants.

Excellent for the price - good, clean room with inclusive internet access which I needed for work purposes.
