  The rooms

  The hotel is extremly bad managed. Not enough staff, facilities at swimmingpool unsufficient, no bar service. The food at the restautrant was so over salted that we could not finish our meals. We left the hotel after one night!!!

  The food was excellent, the family rooms were spacious (two bedrooms, bathroom and lounge) , very comfortable and absolutely appropriate for our needs. The hotel staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable. The cleaning staff were excellent and as in other hotels were not our early morning call. The Dining areas were particularly delightful. We were invited to wine tasting in the cellar which is usually done on a Saturday but as with so many other things, was no problem to the staff when we asked to visit on the Monday.

  Guspini is a sleeping town, not designed for tourism, even though that is an experience itself. The reception area is welcoming with a chic lounge with running water, soft carpets and floor cusions in neutral colors. The inviting restaurant and the clean breakfast area are facing each other delicately.

  The rooms are delighted furnished, not too crowded and not too minimalistic. You'd pay a whole lot more for staying there and the dining and vineing would be overpriced.

  The hotel is easy to find as it is right next to a big Lidl supermarket, but there is a large wall between the two, and the supermarket building is not intrusive when you're in the grounds of the hotel. The hotel itself is lovely, and the pool is fabulous. The pool is the main focus if you stay at the hotel during the day as there isn't much else to do, no gym, spa etc, but the management is obviously aware of this as various games, dart boards, inflatables for the pool etc appeared from day to day. There isn't much to occupy a tourist in the surrounding region to Guspini, and the beach is a 45 minute drive away ( though very scenic and there are some good restaurants along the way), so we were almost forced to rest and relax! The evening meals in the restaurant were very good, but quite expensive, and the Sardinians are obviously used to having a siesta during the day and dining later at night. For our family with two kids, tired after a hard day swimming and playing, the service was rather slow, but for a romantic meal I guess it would be ok. The staff were all extremely friendly and as helpful as their limited English and our very limited Italian would allow.

  The staff, while lovely, seemed like they were on a training scheme some of the times. Our first room over looked Lidil, we asked if there was the possiblity to be changed, to their credit we were given a fabulous room, with beautiful views. Some rooms have hideous views of bilding works and the local Lidil. The pool area did not have enough loungers for guests. Our room was not cleaned one day - because it was outside their cleaning hours - 11am! You don't feel like you are getting 4* service - ever - as it feels too amateurish. You must hire a car, the local bus take an hour and a half to get to Guspini and then you are looking at a 20-30min walk with your bags in the heat. Guspini is limited for shopping and eating out, but locals are very lovely and willing to help.

  The decor in the hotel was nice enough but alot of the offered services were not available. The wait to get served in the restraunt was unbelieveable although the staff were very nice.

  Having been on the hotels web site I was quite disturbed when we actually arrived to see that more noticeable than the hotel was the giant Lidol supermarket.

  El hotel es muy bonito, las habitaciones est?n muy bien decoradas y son amplias,el servicio es bueno. Tuvimos una estancia muy agradable, adem?s nos dieron una habitaci?n de categor?a superior a la reservada sin coste. El ?nico inconveniente que se le puede poner al hotel es el lugar donde est? situado, una zona nueva a las afueras de la ciudad, poco atractiva, donde hay una gran superficie y est?n construyendo nuevas viviendas. Sin duda recomendar?a el hotel, creo que es la mejor opci?n para visitar esta parte de la isla.

  We booked a senior suite and it was ok but we were expecting an amazing room with a balcony. It was average - maybe our expectations were too great but we were looking at pictures from there own website and had paid for the top spec room! The hotel is beautifully decorated, but unfinished and dissapointing. Staff are excellent especially Alessandro and Alessi who worked their socks off!

  There is no spa despite what the website says and staff don't really know what you're talking about when you ask about other activities.

  We enjoyed the hotel quite much, the design (expecially the rooms although we had no balcony), the swimming-pool, the garden, the ambience and the friendly staff.

  The food was tasteless and it was definitely not a gourmet experience (as we look for when we travel abroad). This hotel could have made up for its quite strange location by having much better food in the restaurant (more international cousine mixed with sardinian cousine – why not try to get Michelin-star standards? Loved the design, pool-area and the ambience.
