The price was really good and I don't know if the neighbouring hotels could match what we payed.
If you're looking for a hotel near Taksim (hence, near the commercial center of the "new town") in an economic price, look no further.
The location is excellent as it is just a short walk to Taksim Square.
One note of advice, if you are going to the Hotel from the Airport, try and use a taxi, as the hotel is located in a slight back street which is not easy to find if you are new to Istanbul.
It is within 5 minutes walking distance to Taksim Square, Istiklal Street and the Metro and Bus Stations.
The staff are helpful, the rooms are clean and have all the ameneties you could want (safe in room, tv, minibar, shower/wc etc).
The rooms are just fine (nothing special mind) you, with all that you'd need, a TV, a safe, shower facilities etc.
Our room was huge and had all the comforts.
One one thing to bear in mind is there is a lot of building work, it didn't really affect us as the rooms had good sound proofing.
The hotel is decorated in a modern yet retro fashion.
The hotel also has its own restaurant, which although the range is limited, the food is good.
Besides there are lots of restaurants around Taksim Square.
Breakfast was good (a few hot things) and staff were helpful.
Breakfast (buffet) is of satisfactory level and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful enough (although their knowledge of english is not of a satisfactory level).
The breakfast itself was the same every day, but enough there to satisfy most appetites.
I liked about it was that I felt very relaxed and that the staff were freindly.
Although the rooms are small, the hotel is very clean.
The breakfast room was also clean and organized and nicely deocrated.
