Taj Exotica Goa

As for the whole trip, thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the Taj was a great hotel, and I thought situated in an ideal location.

On romantic walks on the beach and the location was perfect for us - close to Margao.

Superb location, easily the best beach resort we have ever stayed in and the hotel is beautiful.

Plus, the Taj website said they were full on the dates we wanted to travel but we were still able to get a room through Thomson, with the added advantage of a private taxi transfer to/from the airport thrown in.

The hotel is about 40 minutes by taxi from Dabolim airport and I would definitely recommend getting a taxi rather than getting on a tour operator coach.

I actually preferred the villa because it had a beautiful KS bed whereas the deluxe room had two single beds but a fantastic view.

The rooms are nice - we never spend much time there and so we didn't bother to upgrade to one of the pool villas - big bathroom, sitting area and a nice large double bed.

The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and the bed was huge.

TV, DVD player, great bathroom and not least, a wonderfull bed with perfect pillows to spend the ( monsoon time ) few rainy days.

The room itself was excellent the biggest bed I have ever seen and the food was good.

We ate at the coffee shop for breakfast and once for lunch but otherwise had lunch in the beach shacks and dinner at the restaurants directly outside the hotel.

We ate in all of the restaurants at least once and thought the Indian food served in the coffee shop was the best (better than the Goan restaurant).

The hotel has four main restaurants, a seafood shack which is just off the beach, a Goan restaurant serving Indian cuisine, a Asian restaurant and the restaurant that focuses on international cuisine.

There is a choice of 5 restaurants, we found on the odd occasion when we choose to stay in the hotel to eat, the upstairs restaurant had great food.

Breakfast restaurant has pleasant atmosphere, food could be better for 5* status.

Hotel facilities were absolutely magnificent, the service was excellent and the rooms staff that serviced the room were exceptional.

I could find nothing to complain about any of the hotel staff, from the pool/beach attendants, the waiters or the reception staff - none of them could do enough for you.

The balcony facing the ocean was nice too, activity center had very good service and the hotel staff were very accomodating.

The dining room staff must be complimented for their excellent service ever willing to pamper your culinary senses with the choicest of spreads.

Excellent food, great realistically priced Indian wines and the pool gym are reasonable.

The rooms are pleasant enough, the breakfasts are simply great and the pool gym are reasonable.

Fresh water swimming pool was 4' deep throughout, with jacuzzi area, and separate pool with slide for children.

The hotel was fantastically clean, the staff were so polite and attentive, our room was very pleasant.

Ocean are fabulous, the rooms surroundings are impeccably clean well maintained and the hotel is simple.

Additionally the rooms were comfortable and clean, the food was good.

The rooms & surroundings are impeccably clean & well maintained.

Service is great, the rooms are spacious functional and clean, food could be better for 5* status.
