In sum, it's size may give the impression of a top hotel, but the rest feels like a run-down 3-star hotel.

We wanted a central Ankara location, preferably with a pool for a couple of nights on a family touring holiday in Turkey.

The lounge area is huge, the location of the hotel is satisfactory.

Good points: centrally located near a Metro station and modern Hotel.

When I asked about the 'indoor pool', I was taken down to what felt like a dark underground carpark.

There were 3 of us and the room was divided into two rooms with two beds each.

The rooms were comfortable and pleasant but even though the air conditioning unit was blowing large quantities of cold air into the room all night, the temperature in the room remained stubbornly high and uncomfortable.

In addition staff very kind, the bed was so comfortable.

The bathrooms were big and had a tub but they were very worn out.

The staff were generally helpful and the rooms were ok in that the beds were clean.

The breakfast was very good, and despite the lack of a pool the hotel was quite a good base from which to explore the city.

There are two restaurants, but only one seemed to be open in the evening while I was there.

The main meals were nothing exciting but there was a lot of food with a lot of choices.

The staff (besides one senior waiter) were cold and unhelpful.

The hotel had confirmed my booking in advance, but when I arrvived they had no record of my reservation.

The hotel has a pool, but at the time of our stay it was unavailable "due to an inspection", I have a suspicion the "inspection" may have been in progress for a considerable period of time.

The shop in the lobby was almost never open.

I very much doubt anyone every dared to enter that 'pool'.

    You might think that the rate is not accurate, not sufficient heating of suit rooms and breakfast is very bad. The only alternative for dinner is a poor.
