  I stayed in room 521, which had an incredible view of the beach and of Cancun. Even though the bed was a little hard, the pillows were very soft, so we slept fine. Service: I would say we had the best service ever. The waiters were very nice and always shared a smile. Food: We enjoyed the buffet breakfast every day at the Alamo. The asian was awsome, and the italian was our least favorite (but I guess was because we only eat seafood).

  If you book a private transfer I only recommend it one way(the pickup at the airport). I had to cancel our airport transfer (Elite) because they wanted to pick us up 4 hours before our flight and it was a national flight! Use the local bus to get around the city its cheap 6. 5pesos or 65cents (get change in the hotel lobby).

  So first the good, the service was very good and the answer is always yes, no matter what you ask. We even added items to our room-service menu just to see if they would do it, and they did! The cleaning service was fantastic and even organized our dirty clothes that were laying on the floor, my wife wouldn't even do that! Rosario would turn down our bed, fill our jacuzzi, add rose petals and set the lights for when we entered every night. The food for the most part was good and the drinks were also good, even though each room is well-stocked with booze. Our first room had some R&M issues and if you looked closely, you could find some other r&m issues around the hotel, nothing to serious though. But who goes to Cancun to watch tv anyway, right?

  The rooms and the food are better at the Sun Palace, and that is a huge thing! We would request this room again if we go back next year as planned. The service was awesome - anything we needed at any time - we just had to call and it was taken care of. The food was awesome - the Mexican restaurant was our favorite, but the Italian restaurant was a close second. The Asian restaurant is amazing as well - what a view!

  We were in room 216 - which is right next to the gym - so we did hear some noise, but not enough to be bothersome. Other people have mentioned this - but make sure you leave one of your room keys in the slot on the heating and cooling system - otherwise your room will be hot when you come back from the pool/beach.

  We are 50 and 60 y/o so appreciated the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Checkin was a breeze and guest relations people were very friendly, courteous and very informative. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had fabulous ocean views. Rooms were exceptionally clean and we had no problems with our room. The double jacuzzi and huge stone showers were a wonderful extra you don't see in many resorts. Turn down service was great and every evening we returned to our room with music playing, soft lighting and cute towel animals (swans, bunny, etc. Food was excellent, high quality and the breakfast and lunch buffet items varied each day.

  The order was sent up on time and the food was still hot.

  We had good flights(NWA) and the new Cancun airport was awesome with customs being easy and checking in much quicker than the past. We were on the 7th floor (there are 8 floors total), facing NE, in room 719. It was a great view and we slept with the windows open until the early morning when I had to get up and shut them because the sun comes in so brightly and it gets warm(air condition only runs when the door is shut). We used the in-room liquor dispenser provided once in a while to make rum and cokes, but that was about it. TV was flat screen and mounted to the wall – several HBO options. Overall, I would try to get a room on as high as floor as possible to increase your chance for a great view. It was probably my favorite room I’ve stayed in except for LeBlanc and the only reason LeBlanc was better was because the bed was softer. They also had some great reclining padded beds – I thought those were the best but they weren’t available on the beach.

  We had the set up that the bed was closer than the hot tub to the balcony.

  Wonderful property - very large and spacious rooms with beautiful beach and ocean/gulf views. Would have enjoyed this property more had we not stayed at the Adventura Spa Palace just 4 months ago - completely different experience. Very small but extremely friendly and service oriented.

  However, the Adventura Spa Palace simply had many more dining alternatives/selections and optional activties - truly a resort atmosphere in a secluded area versus simply a hotel on a busy highway. Disappointed in the fitness center - had communicated with the Sun Palace prior to arrival to inquire whether spinning classes were available - the response was affirmative.

  I loved the room and huge jacuzzi, and balcony. The infinity pool was amazing as well overlooking the beach and ocean. The liquor dispensers in the rooms were also extremely watered down. The bus ride was a completely different experience. Then on the way back to the hotel you have to cross the road (total 6 lanes) walk along a very dim lit road with a lot of brush that anyone could be hiding in and wait for the next bus. Beutiful Rooms W/Views But Not Worth the Money.

  I was a little disappointed that this resort being a quarter the size of Aventura was the same price per night.

  Check-in was very smooth, we got our cool scented towels and glasses of champagne while we checked in, which was refreshing! Our room was really nice-we were in room 411, and it was beautiful! I really liked all the colors and clean lines the hotel is decorated in. Maid service was prompt, rooms cleaned quickly-they were totally non-intrusive and we always left some extra money out for them. One day our mini bar wasn't re-stocked, and we were out of bottled water, so room service sent some up.

  We did go to Moon Palace one day to watch a football game, and I hated it-too big, too crowded, bad food-not impressed at all.

• In the resort, the service is fabulous, everyone is very friendly and always has a smile on their face. The staff is very professional, polite and do their best to make you feel like royalty. There were only a few employees that we had a difficult time communicating with, everyone else was very proficient in english, which was nice since unfortunately we are not bilingual. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The bus drivers are very nice but they all drive crazy there!

  The only complaints I have are that my "do not disturb" button did not work, and the TV only had a few channels - only 2 or 3 in english, but we really didn't go there to watch tv so it was not a big deal. The cab rides are very pricey, so if you are just going down the main road, I recommend the bus- its only 7 pesos (less than 1 usd) to ride.
