Nice view restaurant, the hotel was excellent value for money and the staff was very helpful as soon as we checked in by providing unbiased advice on shopping.
The hotel is situated in a very good location in Istanbul and the service we recevied was excellent.

The location is excellent - just few minutes walk from main sightseeings and i like the hotel as 's close to all ancient places.
The only distraction is that the Metro runs very close to the hotel but we soon got used to it.

First, there was a toilet leak issue in my bathroom that was caused by a misalignment of a metal tube that puts water in the bowel with each flush.
The rooms below street level are not the nicest, I agree, but they are offered on internet for special rates so the customers know that they can expect a room without a view.
The people who work at the hotel are nice and the services are excelent but the bed and sheets could be better and softer.
Eating out during the day was easy as there are many restaurants.
Very accomodating staff, hot shower/bath and i liked breakfast – always fresh food.
And another pleasant moment for me was after the breakfast.
We had an excellent experience at Sumengen Hotel in Istanbul, located in a historic old Ottoman house in the Sultanahmet district, very convenient to Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, Arasta Bazaar, and many small and charming restaurants.
Nice view at breakfast, the decor of the the hotel was lovely and the staff was extremely helpful.
The staff, in particular the front desk staff, was extremely friendly and helpful (as are most Turkish people).
