Good service, comfortable bed and the gym was great - two jacuzzis.
Taxis are quite cheap and funchal is a good 35 minute walk away.
Good location and the hotel was extremely clean and quiet.

Getting there

Funchal Airport is located not far from the city center, in the nearby Santa Cruz. If travelling by car, take ER101 highway and then continue on ER103 till the overpass.

Lovely view from the balcony, good religious art museum and superb Island. This hotel is absolutely brilliant, just returned home after our second stay at the Eden Mar and food is delicious and served in style by attentive waiters. The staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly, suites are really nice.

The views are amazing, a courtesy bus to Funchal is also very handy and gardens and parks are truly lovely. This hotel is superb and supermarket 2 minutes down the road selling a good variety. The staff are very friendly, the sofa in the suite could be a little more comfortable and one fantastic restaurant I have to shout about is the Paradise.

Funchal is nice town within walking distance, pool area is fabulous, best we have ever seen and the hotel is amazing, very stylishly and tastefully furnished. Plus the staff are lovely and rooms are good. Food was lovely, gardens are gorgeous.

Surrounded by different shops and restaurants, brilliant hotel. Reasonable price, best service ever and the room was very clean and spacious. Jacuzzi were also very good and breakfast was excellent.

The food is great, the staff are brilliant and the views are wonderful, the hotel is of an excellent standard and we would highly recommend. Shower is very strong, the waiters are exceptionally helpful at breakfast and indeed at all meals, the swimming pools are superb and the 4star rating is well merited.

Good location, nice Hotel and nearby restaurants best I found was Grannies house and the Yacht bar. All the staff were very weloming and cheerful, the room was well equipped, excellent service and attention to detail and the food was fabulous. The facilities were fantastic.

The room spacious and included a concealed kitchen area, in terms of quantity, quality and choice the breakfasts were fantastic. All the staff, especially the receptionists, were extremely helpful, the suite we got this time was the best and a kitchenette was enclosed behind louvre doors. The selection of different breads were also amazing, i used the very nice spa and had a decleor facial and v.

The view from our room was fantastic and the Christmas lights in Funchal were beautiful. Staff were brilliant, the choice at breakfast was superb catering for everyone and the Spa was good.
