Received a delicious breakfast hamper at my door in Rye Bay Cottage, complete with handmade biscuits and toiletries from the White Company. The low ceilings and winding stairs added to the authentic charm. Free WiFi and parking were a plus.
Shame they didn't have a helicopter service to London Gatwick Airport.

Jaw-dropping old-fashioned charm with period details, super comfy bed, spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, and a friendly owner. Free Wi-Fi and parking, bar/lounge area, welcome biscuits, great breakfast presentation, peaceful sleep. Incredible feeling of owning a historic home. Don't miss the stunning church in Winchelsea.

The triple room at Strand House was amazing! The private entrance made me feel like I had my own little hideaway. And with soundproof walls, I could enjoy some peace and quiet. Loved it!
Personally, I found that the triple room's soundproof walls made it feel a bit stuffy. But I understand that some guests might appreciate the extra quietness.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of local produce. The rooms were cozy and had lovely views. The shower was powerful and hot 24 hours. The beds were comfortable with good bedding. The parking was ample and the bus stop right outside was convenient for exploring the area.

The location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views of the wrap around garden and the nearby Winchelsea & Camber Sands beaches. The rooms are cozy and quirky, with comfortable beds and the option to open the windows for fresh air. The staff provides excellent service, with a friendly and helpful attitude. The breakfast selection is extensive, with delicious options such as a full English breakfast, cereals, fruit, yogurt. The hotel also offers facilities like an honesty bar and ample parking for drivers.
The shower in some rooms might be a bit small for larger or less mobile individuals.

Had a great stay here! The rooms were comfortable and clean with fresh bedding. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of options made from fresh local produce. The views from the balcony were stunning, overlooking the fields. Plus, the garden was a lovely place to relax.
It was a bit disappointing that we had to ask for a bath towel, as we were only provided with hand towels. , there was no bath mat in the bathroom.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at the charming B&B in Winchelsea. The homely atmosphere and comfortable four-poster bed made us feel truly welcomed. The log burner in the guest lounge kept us warm on the cold nights, and the homemade biscuits were a delicious treat. The hosts, Mary and Hugh, were friendly and attentive, ensuring our every need was taken care of. The breakfast was outstanding, and we couldn't resist indulging in the cream tea as well. The setting was picturesque with horses in the back field and bunnies in the garden. we highly recommend this wonderful property for a memorable and cozy getaway.

Very relaxed with a family like atmosphere. The service is wonderful, The house is beautiful though because most of it dates to over 800 years old, the ceilings are a bit low for a 6 footer like me! Learn to duck...
Nothing, though I bumped my head a few times - my fault more than anything.

The staff at Strand House gave exceptional service and were polite, attentive and courteous. The dinner menu offered a good choice of English cuisine which was cooked to perfection. Breakfast also offered a good range from traditional cooked English breakfast to continental type cold meats and cheese. My wife particularly enjoyed the soft boiled eggs with Marmite soldiers! Based on our experience we would have no hesitation in recommending Strand House.
