We were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic breakfast buffet at Marienlyst Strandhotel. The variety and freshness of the food exceeded our expectations. The spa was also a highlight of our stay, offering a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We appreciated the 24-hour access, allowing us to enjoy the facilities even on the day of our checkout. we felt that we received great value for our money during our stay at this hotel.

the staff at the front dest were extremely cordial, helpful, cheerful and attentive, full marks to all of them. The staff handled all our questions quickly with local knowledge Fast checking in and out. Clean rooms, and pleasant reception area good parking facilities and although im not a gambler there was an enjoyable air of excitement as there was a club and casino in operation.
to use the resturant for dinner, which was our plan, a booking had to be made, at 1800 hrs we found that we couldnt get a table so ended up going out to another resturant in town. costing us a lot more, and included an expensive return taxi ride. we did get a good recommendation from the front desk staff so all turned out all right. I am a smoker and dislike having to stand outside the hotel smoking.because of rules. The hotel i think has the best arrangement i have seen yet by placing ashtrays on the covered balconies so accommodating us who are still puffing away comfortably.

What a perfect weekend! The beachfront location was amazing, with beautiful sea views and a stunning castle in the distance. The room was spacious, elegantly furnished and the bathroom was large and nicely designed. The breakfast had so many options, and it was included in the price. I also enjoyed relaxing on the comfortable chairs on the lawn and exploring the beach, with complimentary boots available near the exit.
I wish I had paid extra for a room with a sea view, as the party noise from our neighbors upstairs was disturbing at night.

The room we reived was a disaster, the furniture would better fit a youth hostel and the cleaning was not worth calling cleaning. When we asked for a better room (not even with seaview) this was not possible, even when the hotel was one third booked.

The hotel location is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a beachfront vacation with a view of the historic "Hamlet's" Castle. Rooms facing the sea have beautiful views. The Brasserie 1861, located in the hotel, offers guests excellent dining options with stunning views of the sea. Spa facilities are available with pool-side access to the sea and various other treatments.
The hotel has a limited selection of food options which are on the pricey side.

The location of the hotel was amazing, right on the sea, with a picturesque view. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great and gave me a good start to the day. Additionally, the hotel was very clean and had good facilities, and it was easy to travel to this city via public transportation.
Nothing for me.

Only a 10 minute walk into the center of the nearby town, close to the castle and near the sea. There is a Casino at the hotel and you can enter for free as hotel guests. The pool is inside and it is quite nice.
The room was a bit outdated and was not cleaned very well.

I recently stayed at Marienlyst Strandhotel for a few days. The staff at reception and in the brasserie were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our bedroom had a stunning sea view and the decor throughout the hotel was tasteful. I also enjoyed the pleasant 20-minute walk to the train station, which allowed us to easily visit Copenhagen.
I can recommend this hotel.

Situation of the hotel with spectacular view on Oresund straits, beach and easy walk (15 minutes) to the city
Reception staff is friendly, bar is spacious, neat and tidy but ... Hotel rooms urgently need to be refurbished. Everything seems so tired, cigarette smell eventhough room was non smoking room, carpets in the corridor and room need a good shampoo. Terrace was dirty. Beds are very uncomfortable - too soft (we asked to change it but didn't notice any difference). Breakfast : served in a big reception room, with round tables for 8 or 10 people (nice for a wedding party but not for breakfast), tables are not dressed (you have to put your coffee cup on the table, your cutlery, even your coffee...) even though staff is present but doing nothing. Choice on buffet is simple but of good quality, except the so called scrambled eggs. Too expensive for a room with a view.

The view from the room is fantastic if you like sea views and all kinds of ships going past. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The location is very nice and quiet but 15-20 min walk from the shops/station The buses are infrequent but I like walking anyway. Taxi to the station is about 78kronor. Breakfast was very good, lots of different breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juices and not crowded at all. Showers and hot water in spacious bathrooms more than adequate. Reception, lobby and bar area very posh and gives a good impression. Reception very good efficient.
The room had been smoked in recently and smelled stale. The room seemed slightly dated and the rooms and room areas need re-furbishing if they want to appear a quality hotel. I didn't use room service because of the 60krnr charge on top of the food. I didn't watch movies because the charge was unreasonable (more than a dvd). There was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room which seems odd but I don't know Denmark standards. Lighting in room was poor/dim. There tended to be rowdy guests outside at around midnight. Hotel staff should ask them to be quiet at this time as there could be families and people who want to sleep. However double glazing good so I closed window. On balance, none of this would put me off staying there as they are not critical matters.
