The location is good and this hotel is excellent value for the money.
The best thing about this hotel is the price and location.
The location was perfect, hotel was amazing and honestly I was astonished I got all of that for the price I paid.

The hotel is in a great location and safe neighborhood, within walking distance of certain monuments and very close to the metro and metrobus.
It is close to the Foggy Bottom metro and is in a safe central location.
I stayed at the State Plaza because of its location, fairly close to a place where I was having a meeting.
Safe, great location near GWU, 5 blocks from Metro, walking distance to Lincoln Memorial, inexepnsive taxi ride to Reagan Internat'l.
Within walking distance of the Lincoln Memorial, White House, Washington Memorial and the Foggy Bottom Metro station, which we used everyday to go any where that was not withing walking distance.
We had a very large room with a kitchen, dining area, living room, vanity area, bedroom with two queen beds and bathroom.
A suite to us is a bedroom, living roon with sofa bed, 2 TVs, etc.
Hotel shows its age but rooms were like small apartments with kitchenette and 60' ish bathrooms (not retro but actual).
The room was spacious with two queen beds, a small old fashioned kitchen, a dressing area, and a bathroom.
The room we stayed in was clean, with a comfortable bed with plenty of covers.
The very expensive breakfast in the little restaurant was excellent.
They are currently renovating the restaurant so breakfast is in one of the conference rooms.
One more inconvenience was that the restaurant in closed (never really got a clear explanation why) and the continental breakfast was hard to find, small room and seemed stale, with very few choices.
The restaurant is closed, continental breakfast is a joke.
Bright spots: staff was friendly, the very expensive breakfast in the little restaurant was excellent!
Convenient business center, the hotel staff was particularly responsive to our needs and the maid service was fine.
Excellent service, large rooms and free newspapers at reception.
We then had to go all the way to the other building through corridors, the parking garage, stairways, etc.
The parking garage was crammed full, but wasn't a problem.
The parking garage was impossible to get into and we ended up parking on the street which was free due to the weekend.
So we tried to get him to fix the dial-up access, which he flatly refused to do.
In addition fast wired internet and spacious kitchen.
Staff was willing to help and room was very clean.
The bathrooms are clean and the little kitchenette is handy.
Also, the breakfast room is not cleaned frequently such that you have to clean up the mess the previous person left (crumbs, spilled milk and all!
Bathroom were clean and had a kitchen complete.
Bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is a big plus.
