We paid just over £50(€75, $100) per night including breakfast for the two of us which was excellent value for money using Booked.net - great value for a hotel in Florence.
With the money you are saving on the hotel you can afford to take a taxi.

Very nice front desk staff, the lighting in the rooms is the most luxorious I ever experienced.
The hotel was attractive, the Front Desk staff were very helpful especially I needed a flat tire changed and the rooms were cosy and fine.
The hotel has free parking and a free shuttle bus which we used everyday.
I don't have this problem since I rented a car and the parking is free as well.
