The hotel was a good value for the money and the staff at the spa were very gracious as well.
The location of the facility didn't have a five star RESORT like feeling - it was located between vacant strip centers and a permanent carnival.
There is plenty to do at the hotel - but the location is so good that you are close to 535 for easy access to Disney, in addition to all the restaurants, stores on I92.
The location was close to everything, but yet away from the noise.
Finding the hotel was easy, a short drive from the airport.
There is at least a 3 foot step up with no assistance.
The A unit consisted of a bathroom with a small jacuzzi tub, bedroom with two double beds and a living room with a kitchenette, TV and pull-out couch.
The villa included a king bed with its own bathroom, an adjoining room with 2 double bed and a separate bathroom, and a lock-off that had an efficiency room with a pullout small sleeper sofa, and another small queen bedroom that shared a bathroom.
We've now stayed there in an efficiency unit, a 2 bed room, and a three bedroom.
The room was very large, clean, full-kitchen, hot tub, balcony, king sized bed.
Eventually, we all slept in the kingsize bed (4 people) because I was too afarid to leave my kids to sleep in what seemed to be a completely separate apartment, rather than just a second bedroom!
No restaurants onsite but there are nightly catered meal specials at the bar.
While others have noted the lack of a restaurant on-site, we would recommend the short drive to Celebration (Concierge's suggestion) for a quiet evening, a wide variety of restaurants, and a nice walk.
Highway 192 was just filled with every type of restaurant you could imagine which made meal choices very easy and quick to get to.
When we have the grandchildren we stock the fridge with lunch and breakfast foods and snacks.
The rooms were incredible, the kitchen was spacious and food at the snack bar was nice.
At the suggestion of the front gate staff we did proceed on to the front desk and found an extremely amenable reception staff.
Our service at the front desk was outstanding the whole time.
Service: as mentioned elsewhere, it's iffy, but that's true of almost everywhere and everyone has different experiences dealing with service staff.
The front desk staff was unapologetic, and we had to go outside oursevles to tell the workers to stop the noise.
We really enjoyed the pool and the spa made my wife melt back into the room for a pleasent ride back to Tennessee.
The Jacuzzi was hot and swimming pool i thought was a little to small for a resort so big.
You can't beat that since car parking in the park is $9.
The rooms were always very clean and huge.
We stayed at Star Island over Mother's Day weekend and found our room to be beautiful and clean and very much like brand new.
The suite was clean spacious and we were ready to have a good time.
The linens and floors were clean the bathroom and kitchen were good.
The rooms at Star Island were spacious and clean, from the balcony we had a great view of the pond.
