Besides the wonderful location - the staff are the show stoppers!
The location didn't have too many restaurants.
About two miles from the state park was a perfect location and the staff was absolutely wonderful.
The beds were comfortable, heaters worked fine, it was a quiet location and we slept well.
Good location, the staff are extremely helpful and the nice owners let us move to a different room.
The kitchenette was nice, bed was comfy, good heat lamp in the bathroom, cute back patio.
Room was nice, but bathroom was small and could have been updated.
The bed reasonably comfy, the resident managers kind has a 9' deep pool.
My bed was comfortable and the owner was very nice and helpful.
Very comfy bed, clean kitchenettes and the breakfast not so bad.
On a side note, we ate at Pablito's Mexican restaurant in town.
Location is 1/2 mile from town with some restaurants and shops, a grocery store, and a great hardware store.
Don't expect a lavish continental breakfast, go out to eat.
The kitchenette was nice, the breakfast was adequate for all of us.
Although don't count on the local supermarket for nice food.
The staff is very courteous and the service is adequate.
It is staff owned and operated and they will do most anything to make your experience a good one.
In addition way too high for this place promised a heated pool, the off-season rate of $55 a night was an excellent price for a clean and the staff was courteous and helpfull.
I stayed at Stanlunds during Spring Break of 2003 and even though the buildings and furniture are "retro" (read old), it is very clean and the staff are extremely helpful and very friendly.
So it was very quiet and we had the (not very clean) pool to ourselves.
The sparkling heated pool was a perfect break from the days high temperatures.
The mish-mash of patio furniture around the pool and the mix of original furnishings with others that looked like they had been purchased from a liquidator some how added to this motels un-pretentious charm.
The "suites" ($65/night) have a nice patio and very clean kitchenette that we enjoyed using for breaksfat.
The rooms were clean, the continental breakfast was very good.
Comfortable rooms and the heated pool looked clean.
The kitchenette adequate and clean, room was nice.
The off-season rate of $55 a night was an excellent price for a clean and unique motel room.
