  The location was great, the rooms were decorated in a traditional style and service generally was very efficient and friendly. Furthermore the bathroom was spacious and pillows were very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was really good also.

  Excellent area for cafe's and next to a lovely park. The hotel is clean, furniture wasnt too bad nice antique style and room service failed on 2 requests for a large pot of "stong" coffee.

  The views from the roof were quite spectacular, our stay at the hotel was great and all the staff we encountered were courteous. Well at least room service was o, the breakfast was good and pulling into the drive the concierge were friendly.

  Aesthetically pleasing in a great quiet location, the rooms are nice i was in the basic king hotel type room and efficient and helpful staff - particularly the bell desk. In addition the bathrooms are big.

  The area is nice, the heating didn't work properly in the room and big thick curtains for a good sleep in.

  Welcoming advising us the lobby, absolutely loved this elegant hotel and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Also the room service was exceptional and the food was quite nice.

  Great service and very helpful concierge. Beautiful furniture and the food was of a very high standard. Check-in was reasonably quick and friendly.

  The staff was courteous and helpful, and the piano bar features a talented young man who has been there for fourteen years! If you go, there are a couple great restaurant options in the area besides the hotel restaurant’s fare. The sign outside says something like ‘noodle shop’, but the real local secret is their German-style schnitzel, plus a nice selection of both local and international beers. We’d suggest that two could share one of their platter size schnitzel in hopes that you might actually have a modicum of space available to enjoy one of their great deserts, but just consider it a word to the wise either way. Another great find, also on New South Head Road was a relatively new (at least in Oct ‘08) Tepanyaki restaurant (Most of the signs outside still said Charbroil Grill & Continental Breakfast…). We were among the only Caucasian customers in the place, and it seemed that reservations were definitely highly recommended, but they graciously accommodated us.
