  4) High spots: the sushi restaurant downstairs is FABULOUS: fresh, friendly and well run. The roof top pool area is very nice (too cold now to swim but we had our complimentary drinks up there and enjoyed the view).

  1) The rooms: Sadly, it is not just the interior rooms at the Olivar which are musty. The rooms facing the park are those over the hotel's driveway (we were on the 5th floor) and the honking of the cars coming to and from the hotel was constant. Constant car alarms could be heard, too (all of this with windows closed). Our room was small and awkwardly laid out with drab brown and rust decor (see photo w/ prior post. The "inside" room there looked exactly like our outside room overlooking the park). Also annoying is the fact that the hotel either owns or is affiliated with a car service.

  We came in very late--2:00 AM--and were greeted warmly and efficiently and were in our rooms in 10 min. The rooms are large and comfortable and the beds are excellent. The location is a bit out of the way, but it is on the edge of the largest olive grove in Peru. The food in the restaurante was excellent with some nice gourmet presentations. Breakfast was excellent with some nice omelets and a wide variety of choices, including fresh juices.

• We found the reception staff and the porters very helpful and pleasant. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good and the waiters attentive.

  At the beginning of our holiday we were allocated an excellent room - two double beds and lots of space! Breakfast choice was excellent as was housekeeping standards. We were moved to a larger room but still not as good as our first. There's a good restaurant at the end of the street (I think it was called Tanta) and the Vivaldi restaurant, just a short walk away, was also very good.

  The rooms in this hotel were large and roomy and had very comfortable beds. We stayed in this hotel at the beginning and at the end of the trip - we were excited to be coming back to the very comfortable beds for the end of our trip. It was an excellent hotel with a very freindly and helpful staff. There are several good restaurants close to the hotel - the roasted chicken (a Peru favorite) at Conquistadores is great.

  The rooms in this hotel were large and roomy and had very comfortable beds.   One of the best hotels I have stayed in when it comes to personal service and care. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. The food is of excellent quality and they have the best bartender in the world. Not to take anything away from the other staff members, I have never met a BT with such eye for detail, customer care and service.

  The hotel is clean, the rooms are decent and there's a great restaurant inside the hotel. We enjoyed the location of the other hotel in Lima where we stayed earlier (Holiday Inn Select) much much better.

  However, the location for the hotel sucks.

  Rooms were large, satisfactory, nothing to complain about - just a plain place in a great location. Hotel staff was very nice to us and helpful in getting us a private car.
