Somerset Park Suanplu Bangkok - 曼谷

Conviniently located in a classy location, away and yet near to hustle bustle of Bangkok shopping places.

Wow, what a place to stay in a good location in Bangkok.

The location is excellent and just a 5-10 minute walk from Silom road.

Quiet location helped keep the hustle, a convenient place to commence airport taxi travel and the staff are very polite and helpful.

Even when the shuttle bus is not operating, access to public transportation, eg tuk-tuk and taxi, is quite easy.

Oh, and at least in the 1 bedroom apts, there are no bathtubs, but there is a shower room within the bathroom.

We got a spacious bedroom, a lavish living room, a fully stocked kitchen, an efficient bathroom and a fabulous balcony with an even better view of the Bangkok Skyline.

Of the many serviced apartments in Bangkok, this "hotel's" normal rooms are 70 square meters, with living area separated from bedroom.

The rooms are amazingly well furnished and the working area (desk and chair) are extremely comfortable compared to other hotel room's clunky furniture.

For under A$90, I had a huge one bedroom apartment to myself, beautifully furnished and decorated with great views and a 10 minute walk to Silom Road.

The restaurant is small and basic, so don't expect to eat meals here regularly - however you can easily go out and/or bring food in since there's a kitchen and dining area in your room.

On days you don't want to go out, you can order food by phone from a range of great restaurants.

The buffet breakfast was above average with a good choice of both Asian and Western dishes and an egg chef to cook eggs to order.

was large and breakfast was amazing in fact was the best on our Thailand trip.

Nothing to complain about, except for the weak breakfast selection and rude breakfast staff whom you should avoid whenever possible.

However, front desk service is extremely good.

Overall, if you're looking for luxury this is not the place, but if you're looking for spacious, comfortable, well-serviced accommodation in a good location with friendly staff then the Somerset Park Suanplu is a sound choice.

Location is good and the staff are friendly.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

There was something for everyone - spa for me, pool, cable TV and playground for the kids, gym for hubby.

The hotel has a well equipped gym, reasonable outdoor (but undercover) pool, table tennis room, tennis court, etc all of which are in very good condition.

Service is great, Internet is inexpensive, and there's a free gym and pool.

The apartment was very roomy,clean & fresh, and well furnished.

Nicely appointed rooms, clean, well-kept, fully equipped kitchens, large lovely pool, tennis court, self-service laundry facilities, a small convenience store on site and restaurant.

Our 2 bedroom appartment exceeded expectations - pristine condition, well equipped kitchen, very spacious with great views over the Australian and German embassies.
