This hotel belongs to the budget category. The staff is very friendly but no one speaks english it causes some troubles if you need to find out something. The beach is located in 5 min from the hotel, you have to cross the road. All infrastructure on the beach has to be paid aprx 10 USD (I think it's a bit expensive). But if you are interested in a good price, certainly you can stay at this hotel.

Staff was really nice and really eager to help despite their lack of English proficiency. The whole atmosphere was nice.

This is probably because of carnival but it was crazy expensive for this category (400R$ per night for a 1-2 star hotel ie what i paid in Rio at the Sheraton which does not really in the same category). Also, it is really far from the city center, which is a bit annoying.

The rooms are OK and the staff was friendly although they don't speak english. The pool was nice.

The location was very remote, there are hardly any restaurants, shops etc nearby. The city of Salvador is more than a half hour by bus. You need to cross a very busy road to get to the beach and at the beach there are hardly any tourists.
