Sea-view is the best ever, in the surrounding villages they are good value for money and the hotel itself is in an excellent location for the beach.
We paid around 50 pounds a night for the room which was good value - many other 4 star hotels wanted twice that amount.
Overall, good value 4 star hotel, close to the centre of Puerto.
It is a good location, just a short walk from the resort centre but there are much nicer 4 star hotels around.
In the room we had two very dated pink PVC armchairs, two single beds pushed together and an old TV that didn't pick up anything at all.
The bathroom was more modern and the room was clean however.
It is comfortable, with well sized rooms, new 21 inch TVs, recently refurbished bathrooms, with balconcies giving views out to the sea and the volcano.
There is no heating in the rooms or any part of the hotel and reception could only offer more blankets so don't stay here during winter.
Room is clean and no mini-bar or fridge is provided to keep your drinks cool.
For breakfast, a good choice of cooked dishes and bread, cereals etc.
The salad bar was fine but the hot food was of poor quality.
The restaurant is in the basement and the food was average but the atmosphere was - well there wasn't any.
We would highly recommend the resort itself for its traditional Canarian charm, plenty to do, lovely restaurants, little windy streets and an array of shops.

A good quality, nice staff and maid excellent.
Location is good, the hotel is very nice and unsmiling staff clear the tables are bored too.
The hotel was kept clean the staff where very helpful & the bacon & eggs where great with the rolls.
The staff tried their best but we sensed that they know they're fighting a losing battle.
We stayed over Christmas 2004, and it was raining, so we did not use the pool.
It is a 12 metre circular pool, with a few loungers around.
If you're a serious sun bather you might be happier elsewhere, though the beach and a 50 metre municipal pool (for the serious swimmers) are just across the road so you might be OK.
The Bar area was a little better, the nightly rate for half-board was very good and the room was very clean.
Our room was very basic, dated decor but thankfully clean.
Our friends moved to another 4 star just around the corner as they couldn't cope with the cold rooms anymore and compared to this place is was pure luxury.
