Afforded easy access to the general town area and taxis are very cheap.

Habiéndonos hospedado previamente en el viejo pueblo, nos sorprendió gratamente que el Melia quedaba más cerca del pueblo de lo que parecía en un mapa: bajas unos escalones empinados y tomas un taxi barato de regreso.

Some rooms have been refurbished - mainly new bathrooms so make sure you get a room on floor 3 or above.

The hotel was very good and represented excellent value for money - about £45 for a double room on a bed & breakfast basis.

Clean and tidy rooms and public areas (bedrooms kept spotlessly clean and fresh towels every day).

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom immaculate.

We were staying in rooms 523,525 and 526 which all face a junction and set of traffic lights on a steep hill and the room is practically at street level, the noise from the road is horrendous (which I appreciate is not Melias fault.

Food is buffet style breakfast and dinner with long restaurant opening hours, till 10pm for dinner.

Breakfast was the only meal we ate at the hotel and this was fine - both hot and clod buffets.

Food is tasty and people at the restaurant work really hard and are very organised to help you.

The restaurant area is again brightly decorated-the food is from a self-service buffet with chefs on hand to cook meats or fish as required.

Also gOOD POINTS: Nice bathrooms, extra long queues at the bar and the food is excellent.

The Reception staff particularly helpful, including a well appointed bathroom.

Beautiful reception area loads of armchairs, wonderful hotel and the kind staff working there.

Friendly and efficient service at reception.

The reception staff were rude and often ignored guests when trying to attract their attention.

First was car parking - Hotel boast of garage parking for car.

The second pool is situatted on a higher level.

There was refurbishment work in the hotel itself and also at the upper pool.

Best place in town to try them, rooms are quite spacious and the 2 swimming pools are well maintained and clean.

Staff are very pleasant and not to worry the rooms are very clean.

Both pools had more than enough beds,cushions and parasols for those who wanted to use them,and were kept very clean.

All of the staff most helpfull, tidy rooms and nice breakfasts.
