Sofitel Taba Heights

The hotel was the best that we had stayed in and the location was gorgeous.

30 so make sure you get there before that if you want prime location.

Ignoring the appalling Military Airport of Taba, which is better than doing a long drive transfer, the resort and location is superb.

5h) to Jerusalem or you can fly with Arkia every hour to Ben Gurion airport and there catch the taxi.

At the Airport we did an unecessary trip on a bus.

The suite was incredible offering two large bedrooms, one with a super-kingsize bed and the other with two double beds.

Both bedrooms had luxurious on-suite bathrooms one with a large sunken bath and a walk in double shower in the other.

The rooms were cleaned every day, but the hotel's policy was not to change the towels are bed linen to preserve water.

The room had a huge double bed and a balcony with air conditioning, you wouldnt be able to sleep otherwise.

Took our 2 sons for first week and were given a family suite which was huge; Two large bedrooms which open out into a lounge - tv area even though both rooms had their own tv.

Food - There are 3 restaurants at Sofitel - the Aladdin Restaurant, the Chinese Restaurant, and the Lotus Restaurant (& Bar.

We ate in the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch and used the smaller Lotus (by the beach) in the evening.

That's right, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the same restaurant and we did not tire of it, and that’s with a family that has a varied taste in food, enjoys food from many different countries and are sometimes not easy to please.

At the Aladdin restaurant there are starters at breakfast and lunch, dinner is a 3-course meal.

The shop in the hotel is quite expensive but more conveient, you can buy most things that you might need there, the buffet restaurant for lunch opens 1 till 3 however we didnt use it much because the pizza at the pool bar was enough during the day.

All the fortnight we were there we only saw one grumpy waiter, Hassan the manager takes great pride in the service his staff provide - & rightly so.

This was mainly due to the staff service and the wonderful location.

What can I say, excellent customer service, excellent swimming pools, good food and what a beautiful main reception area!

On the whole a fantastic holiday with wonderful staff, service, food, entertainment and in an idillic location, what more could you ask for?

The gym and sauna was great, room overlooked the pool and beach.

All in all we highly recommend the Sofitel, the food was good, we had a great selection every night and for Breakfast and even if the weather is poor there is a gym, sauna, pool tables and tennis courts to keep you amused.

Beside massage room There is also very well equiped gym and pool where is no body.

The rooms are really clean and luxurious, in fact the whole hotel is spotless the staff really take pride in keeping the hotel clean and tidy.

Excellent beach was kept very clean, the room we had also enjoyed a great view of the pool area and the whole hotel was spotless.

The hotel itself was very clean, the room was spotless and cleaned daily.

The rooms we had were next to each other as requested and large and comfortable (1413 and 1414) they were kept clean with plenty of fresh linen.

All the staff were really helpful (regardless of if you tipped or not), there were plenty of sunbeds & parasols, our room was huge and airy and looked onto a spotless golden stretch of private beach.
