Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort - 甲米

The location is very quiet but as we had just spent 4 days in Bangkok & 3 days in Chiang Mai, it was lovely to chill out for a while.

We rented a car from the first day, and once you have a car the hotel's location is no longer a problem.

Despite its bad location, and if you have a car, it is actually not a bad deal, as the rooms are larger than at the Sheraton (we went to look at them).

We booked an airport transfer which didn't happen.

We arrived at the airport with only 40 minutes to spare.

It certainly was and I was surprised because Sofitel beds had recently won ‘the most comfortable hotel bed in world’ award.

Later, they proposed me the room 350,but not twin bed as I booked, so they proposed an extra bed.

Already inside the room after more than 30 minutes with this, they told me, extra bed could take up to one hour to send, since housekeeping was not available.

Mr Cezar, Reservations manager come and apologise the mess, and himself took the extra bed to my room.

The service has been excellent, rooms are very tastefully decorated with massive beds.

The other nights we ate out at local restaurants which were all quite good although the Krabi Sands was better for breakfast than for dinner.

Furthermore the pool bar is excellent and the buffet breakfast is very good.

We ate almost all our meals at a restaurant down the highway.

We ate in the Thai & Italian restaurants & the food was excellent.

Welcome by warm front desk receptionist, the rooms are well serviced daily and the pool assistants will always find the best shade for you.

Unfortunately the activities centre staff didn’t have any information and sent us to reception which had a small amount of information but then directed us back to the activities centre!

Service was unobtrusive, although at the restaurants, the staff were not as attentive as one might expect.

Clean and quiet everywhere in the hotel, staff were all great.

The hotel is great - at least the lobby, the rooms are spacious and the swimming pool is huge.

The hotel has a massive pool, breakfast is great and the lobby is very impressive.

The pool had a sandy bottom due to the construction work and the lay-down spa in the pool had issues and was not working.

Hotel staff is very friendly and flexible, the rooms are very clean and spacious.

Great place your travelling, we must appreacite the wonderful staff cheery faces and elegant and immaculately clean suite.

At some very nice hotels, instead of pushing the staff to clean and shown to our room by a very sweet.
