In spite of the service, we would stay there again just for the view and the location.

Conclusion: great location, fantastic view, but below-average service.

The Palais Jamai is a great place, the staff is very helpful, and the location couldnt be better.

If you are as confused as I was about where to book based on the reviews, do not hesitate to take this hotel over any other in Fes, you will not beat the location, service, and quality anywhere in Fes - and we looked, to compare!

Small taxis are your best and cheapest bet but no vehicule can go into the Old Medina.

Excellent rooms, with big bath, shower a little tricky & lights above bed could cause glare.

We had a suite and that gave us all room to relax.

The carpets were all stained, beds had body depressions, marble toilet floors stained.

Having said this, my wife and I were both sick, and we were incredibly grateful that we had Western toilets, a comfortable place to stay, and room service for the two days that we could not leave the hotel.

The hotel's Moroccan restaurant is good, but both overpriced and overrated compared with other similar places in Fes - but the breakfast is to die for!

The remark applies particularly for the restaurant, the bar and above all for the concierge (do not expect anything from him).

Breakfast was very good, but the dinners were below mediocre and the bar was very overpriced.

You can see the town of Fez and the swimming pool from the restaurant you have breakfast at, and I found it quite nice.

The hotel is very good, 5-star service, 5 star facilites, great food, included fantastic breakfast, amazing location.

A girl I met in a plane said that this is the best hotel in Fez, but the service, the room, the staff, the location.

Sadly to note for such a nice country but the staff is not friendly at all (apart for two persons at the front desk and for the very charming persons working at the front door) and you very often feel that you are disturbing them.

Service very good, & when something went wrong (the safe) engineers came within half an hour.

Furthermore, there is usually only one lady at the front desk who has to do everything – alone.

She loved the rose garden and the fancy elevator.

The only minor prob was the pool wasn't great for the 4 yr old to swim in as it had no shallow end.

Be careful of some pricing, as it can be outrageous, however, in the spa for example, is priced about 1000x more expensive than the local, very clean and safe, Hammam.
