That aside, a nice hotel, perfect location and pleasant surroundings.

Ok Gym -- staff very friendly -- great location and complimentary guide for Essaouira medina was a fabulous bonus.

Our bags were taken in for us as soon as the taxi had stopped.

Arrived from Marrakech by taxi due to flight times.

Our room was great - huge bed, large bath, all very comfortable.

There were also some nice touches in the room - towels changed twice a day, bottle of water by the bed.

And little touches like room service coming in the evenings to retidy, turn down the beds and leave us a weather forecast for the next day were a pleasant surprise.

After dinner (formal and pretentious), everyone seemed to go off to bed.

The room was OK, a good size by European standatds, but the bathroom was a bit disapointing.

The breakfast was fabulous - continental, cooked, fresh fruit, maroccan - and plenty of it and you had the choice of sitting by the pool or inside the lovely restaurant.

Restaurants very good, particularly the Moroccan restaurant past the reception.

Sometimes, during the evening, we ate out at the sultry, sexy restaurants, in the Medina, and finish off by eating a pud' at the Sofitel.

The are many restaurant choices including pool side, where we had a great Panini & fries for lunch (a welcome change after two weeks of Moroccan fare).

It was very enjoyable to sit by the pool eating breakfast from the varied buffet of breads, fruit, cheese etc before a hard day's reading.

The only small problem was the relative inefficiency of the reception staff, but the rest worked like clockwork.

The reception staff were very good, in particular, a French man, from Lisle, who helped us book our hotel for a two night stay in Marrakesh, which I recommend.

In general, all the reception staff were very nice, and friendly.

She damaged a bracelet in the process and the reception staff were quite indifferent to the incident or the implication if that had been a child caught by the doors.

By the time we arrived we were really looking forward to spending some time by the pool, relaxing, using the gym and the spa.

You can walk around in the fluffy robe they provide to go to the swimming pool or for treatments so it felt a bit like a health spa.

It has everything you need and a brilliant swimming pool as well!

Although a bit expensive, You can get very clean and new room with nice terrace.
