Comfortable accommodations and attractive room. The bathroom was very large. I told them it was our wedding anniversary and they provided complimentary chocolate strawberries and water

Did not provide a coffee maker and had to go to star bucks for coffee

Very good location, very friendly and efficient (for the most part) staff. The restaurant and the bar had good food and a nice ambiance - busy, bustling, nice mix of locals and hotel guests. Functional room - with all of the necessities there.

Exterior design - the architect was Jean-Paul Viguier - is especially striking. The interior - with chrome and glass - is starting to look dated even thought it is less than 10 years old. Getting rid of the red carpet in the room and going to wooden floors might be a start in freshening things up. As is common with this type of hotel, the extras add up - $47 parking per night (not including tips for the valets), $9 internet.

Beautiful hotel, great location, very comfortable.

Would have liked a coffee pot in the room or availability in the lobby.

The location is good and safe. The bed is comfortable.

Additional charge for internet connection. The phone charge for long distance calling within US is too high. The room cleaning service needs improvement, especially in replacing the consumed items.

The reception staff was especially considerate with my check in (early) and check out (late). It made for a more wonderful stay. The room was spacious, quiet, and had a great skyline view. The business center was easily accessible, and never a long wait. The hotel location is great, next to Michigan Ave and Rush St. It was perfect for my first trip to see Chicago, and I would love to stay here again.

our second stay at the water with our first stay the hotel check-in staff were very curtious and helpful, the room was spotless the room staff couldn't do enough for us.

the bar was pricey and the 18% put on everything ie.breakfast, room service etc.

The decor of the lobby was beautiful. Fresh orchids in the room were a great touch. We received a free upgrade from a junior to an executive suite with a corner room with lots of windows and great city views. I only wish we could have stayed more than one night!

We went right after the blizzard and the trucks clearing snow kept beeping all night. (But the weather is not really the hotel's fault.)

We enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel a lot.It is really a great place to stay because of its location and its nice and intimate atmosphere.Design of the interior and of the rooms is great, luxury but not flashy .Excellent service and very friendly staff. The restaurant is one of the best we experienced in Chicago with an interesting choice of courses .The breakfast is at a reasonable price and served at table thus avoiding the standardized and noisy buffets of most hotels nowadays. The Sofitel is definitely an excellent address in Chicago which I will highly recommend.

Lighting at the entrance of the hotel, a kind of turquoise which is more adapted to a swimming pool than a hotel .Drafts in the lobby and part of the restaurant which during winter time can be really chilly .
