Sofitel Cairns Reef Casino

This hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to everything only a few blocks away from the Esplanade.

Great location and an easy walk to the best of Cairns - highly recommended.

The location was great and we could walk along the front easily.

Our stay was part of a package, so I'm not exactly sure what the cost breakdown is, but overall, it's a great 4 1/2 -5 star property with a great location.

The hotel location is fine but the parking is a bit difficult and a little confusing below once you do find the entrance to the underground lot.

I've stayed in a junior suite on two occasions, and it's fab - spa bath, balcony overlooking the Trinity inlet, huge bed, soft linen.

You can sit in the spa-bath tub and watch the room TV and also views through to the balcony.

We had 2 beautiful balconies, a huge shower and tub, 2 sinks, and the bed was heavenly.

The staff were all so helpful and polite The room was clean and the bed was so comfy.

Huge comfy bed, beautiful linen (as always in Sofitel) and a stunning bathroom with a sliding wall that opened the spa up to the views.

We only had a lunch and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and were not overly impressed with the quality of the food and we found the service just ok.

Having said this, we weren't interested in the casinos and chose a restaurant along the seashore boardwalk - feel is like a large seaside town -lots of touristy shops and restaurants open to the air.

There are seafront cafes and restaurants which are open from 6:30am for breakfast - so don't panic.

The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to shops and restaurants by the water.

The food was nice and you have the benefit of the casino restaurants just downstairs.

4 week trip to australia, very nice room, very good service, very friendly staff and concierge service, location is perfect, only breakfast could be better.

The highlight was the staff who were very friendly and helpful, particularly the concierge who organised a trip for us and was really helpful.

Room layout was very pleasant and staff helpful, with quick service.

Attention to detail was great, the buffet dinner was delicious, the facilities, the pool, the gym were all fantastic!

The pool was very nice and I think it was heated too.

My husband of two weeks somehow dropped his wedding band down the elevator shaft.

It was on a high speed boat which took 1 ½ hours to get to the reef.

Only spent one night in the hotel but the room was large, clean and well appointed.
