Smart & Simple Hotel

Well located, the hotel was in a great location for our shopping trip to Tunbridge Wells and the staff were courteous and helpful.

The location is close to the heart of the town and parking was easy.

A peaceful location on a busy road and simple Hotel.

They even booked the table and arranged a taxi for us, although the hotel is very close to the town it was pouring with rain!

Golf had been arranged 18 holes day one and 36 day two, each day when we returned to the hotel the young team at the hotel took care of everything Taxis, dinner reservations, additional towels where on hand when we arrived back soaked.

The room was very large the bed was really comfy, the bathroom was HUGE.

The bathroom was big but divided from the room by a glass door so you could look right in directly at the toilet from the bedroom!

The rooms are crisp, clean and white with a big comfy bed, smart flat-screen tv, thoughtful jug of water - a necessity rarely provided in b&bs.

The room was not large, but bright, immaculately clean, with a very comfy bed and pillows, flat screen wall TV (only 4 channels though), bottles of water, mini-pringles, sweets and no kettle or tea/coffee in sight (room service at?

When I asked if we could be moved to a room with a bath I was told that only 5% of the rooms have baths!

We didn't eat at the hotel because breakfast wasn't included in our rate, to be honest after seeing the breakfast spread you are better off walking down to the pantiles and eating at Woods Restaurant there.

Breakfast during my stay was a continental buffet, but cooked breakfasts were due to be offered the following week, as well as a cafe open for lunch/evening meals.

We did not eat in the hotel, but a full food and bar price list is in the room.

The restaurant is a tapas menu in the evening but the food was extremely fresh & tasty & reasonably priced.

The continental breakfast was lovely, loads of things to choose from and eating in the conservatory was lovely.

The location is excellent - a short walk in to the town centre, friendly staff at this hotel my expectations sky high and the reception is very bright and modern.

Most important excellent service and the receptionist welcomed us was really helpful.

Admittedly lack of car parking can be a problem for some if less mobile, but what the heck, and we're nearly zimmer-framed!

My biggest concern is the car parking - they need to let customers know up front that they have little or no car park facility.

Fortunate enough to park in small car park, but appeared to be ample parking over the road.

What can I say - A beautiful garden seating area where they bring you a nice glass of wine - and free wireless internet.

Complimentary wireless, snacks and water where very welcome.

Staff are really helpful, rooms impeccably clean and comfortable and breakfast is great with lots of choice for fresh fruit, cheeses, meats etc.

Additionally the room was clean and the breakfast the next day was a simple continental breakfast.
