The Drake is located in a perfect location in Union Square.

The hotel's location is very ideal, as it's basically right next to Union Square.

Loved the location - cable cars, Chinatown and Union Square shopping all nearby.

While waiting for our table at Scala's Bistro, which is in the hotel, the hostess walked out of the restaurant, up the stairs to the lobby, and found us at the bar to tell us our table was ready, all with a smile.

The Star Light room was a nice place to start off the night and the q's for the lifts could be avoided by using the guest acces to the elevators located to your immediate left on entering the hotel.

If you're travelling with pets -- who might be over-excited by the noise and festivity of the lobby bar on Friday night -- you can enter off the Sutter Street side of the building and take the elevator from the lower lobby straight up to your room.

Kudos for complimentary wireless internet access, but my telephone didn't work even after maintenance repaired it once.

The bathroom was clean, the curtains were nice and we had an amazing waitress made our trip.

Our room was larger than I expected for a city hotel and very clean.
