Overall this is a decent hotel, a short cab ride from the city centre but it does need some money spent on it to bring it into the 21st century.
The room was large, clean and the bed comfortable.

Some front facing rooms can be noisy with traffic, so always ask for a room at the back.
Everyone was so helpful, my room was beautifully decorated and the food in the restaurant was superb.
We ate breakfast and dinner in their restaurant.
Their traditional Scottish breakfast was far more food than we ever eat here but it was delicious and dinner was just as good.

I expected a warm welcome by the resteraunt manager and the staff very friendly.

Great food and service will bring me back to this hotel many many more times.
For that service I would expect to pay less but not a major factor for me as a business traveller.
On the website the place looks great and staff were efficient.
Staff were efficient and pleasant enough.
In addition if you were there for longer than we were I would imagine that the staff would soon make your stay as personal as possible.
However the room was clean and tidy even if we did have a view immediately onto a brick wall.
The rooms clean and the food was a bit nondescript my steak was very good.
The staff were freindly, the room we eventually settled in was big spacious and the breakfast was very good - looking fresh.
