Silverado Resort Napa - 纳帕

The location is fantastic: it's tucked away at the end of Trancas Ave in Napa, at the beginning of the Silverado Trail so it's very close to the wineries and restaurants yet very quiet and relaxing.

Beautiful grounds and the location is perfect for quick trips up valley for wine tasting.

The resort's location in Napa Valley is great and the grounds are nicely kept.

We wanted a location in the center of the Napa Valley where we could visit wineries and restaurants without driving up one end to the other.

We had very little time to tour the valley, but they arranged for a bus to take us to a couple of wineries for wine tasting - to Beringer and Mondavi Winery.

We were taken to 2-bedroom suite that had apparently just had some carpet cleaning done - all of the furniture was on top of the beds in each of the bedrooms and the living room furniture was stacked up in the kitchen area.

The unit we stayed in had 2 queen size beds in the master suite and a king size bed in the 2nd bedroom.

The room was tiny, not impressive whatsoever, old furniture, king size bed, one lounge chair and a bathroom, not much could fit into this room anyway.

This was one bedroom suite and had very nice touches like a couple of TVs, large bathroom w/ separate dressing area, jacuzzi tub, and vurtually every surface was granite.

Ended up with a great room - large, decorated with dark mahogany furniture and granite countertops, luxurious king bed, but most important to me is how clean it was.

We did not eat at the fine dining restaurant, but loved the casual Grill for both breakfast and dinner.

The only meals I ate at the Silverado were breakfast and reception food offered to the group.

Being frequent travelers we often bring munchies and breakfast with us so I did not experience the restaurants at the Silverado although our neighbors raved about them.

We ate out often (including at the 2 excellent restaurants at the resort), but we also enjoyed leisurely breakfasts on our patio.

As for the renovations, the new breakfast and lunch restaurant was excellent.

The service however was outstanding from the staff who greet you, to the front desk, cleaning staff and especially the concierge.

The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are nice, however, the staff at the restaurants, front desk, and concierge desk are not friendly and were rude on several occassions.

You can use the workout room, the sauna, jacuzzi and lap pool when you purchase any spa service, or if you pay a $20 day use fee.

If you are not a walker you would need to call for a ride to spa, main pool, restaurants and lobby area.

The weather was perfect and we enjoyed relaxing at the pool at the Spa.

We also found the daily internet charge to be ridiculous for a hotel at this level (I have had free wireless internet at motels!

They charge for Wi-Fi, just a huge no-no for business travel.

Average size room but very clean and well-appointed.

The room-- ugly--was spotless and a great kitchenette.

The room we got was a decent size and was about as clean as I'd expect.

The staff was exceptional, & the room was clean and comfortable.

Room was clean & well appointed and had all amenities of a 5 star hotel.
