Silken Rio Santander - 桑坦德

The location in front of the beach was amazing and the staff were incredibly helpful.

Sea view rooms fantastic and the hotel has a great location.

The great view and the location of the hotel was excellent for beach.

The bus runs approx every 10 mins to the city centre from just outside the hotel and are only 1 euro each and its an excellent way to travel.

Wonderful sea views, convenient for buses into town and near beach.

The Hotel room was cleaned daily and upon vacating we did the usual check and found a load of rubbish under the bed from previous guests that had not been cleaned!

Large comfortable bed and good breakfast.

The rooms were clean and well equipped with a bath (much better than the dreaded showers most hotels prefer!

If you do stay there try and get a room with a sea view at the back rooms just look over some garages - it is probably worth the extra.

Our room was at the rear of the Hotel so we had a view of a garaging block and apartments overlooked you, there was also a green outside with a football goal so might be a bit noisy with kids playing in the decent weather.

The food in the restaurant was the best we ate in Santander and all spoke perfect English basic Spanish was streched.

The staff were very helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

The cafeteria and dining room are acceptable, but there are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance.

The continental breakfast was an extra 8 Euros and was fine; the service was somewhat unresponsive (we received one cup of coffee and were not asked if we desired a refill).

However, there is not a huge variety of bars and restaurants in the area.

The front lobby is not very impressive, although unlike other reviewers, we had no difficulty speaking with the front desk staff in English.

Also they have a delightful little cafe by the lobby served delicious small meals, the people on reception are very welcoming.

The views were nice, there was a good bus service into town and we found the hotel comfortable and clean.

We found the staff pleasant although their english speaking wasn't great but we were able to communicate ok.

Free parking in the surroundings possible.

For car users, a private garage is available but at a cost of over 10 Euro's a night, parking on the road outside is free.

We had no difficulty parking a half block from the hotel in the public street lot.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable.
