  The swimming pool was too deep for teenage children. The hotel room had a hole in the wall where eletric wires could be seen. The cost of the air conditioning was astronomical at approx £8:40 per day.

  I found the hotel to be good value for money. It was very clean, friendly staff, although English not known proficiently, did not interfer with the enjoyment of the holiday. Ali's restaurant across the road was excellent value and very good service. Trips purchased in the hotel were expensive and there is an abundance of travel agents offering the same trips at half the price. I would recommend this hotel for families, couples or singles and you can take from the resort what type of holiday you require, both quiet or a very lively, active holiday.

  Stairs - due to Kervan being on a slope, Reception (at ground level) is on the 2nd floor. Pool & restaurant (at the back of the hotel) is on the ground floor, so wherever your room is, you will have to 'do' stairs. Safety deposit box & air conditioning - highly recommend you do pay for these. Most hotels in Turkey charge you, so just allow for it as you will appreciate being able to excape the heat , trust me! Hotel food - Recent reviewers liked it, my wife & I wouldn't totally agree. Staff & cleanliness - as others have said, spot on. Finally, I was dissappointed when I first saw our room as it looked very small, but as the week went on, it caused us no problems.

  Good points: Location, Pool, Cleanliness, In hotel Turkish baths, Staff, Free shuttle to (better & emptier) beach. Excellent location for restaurants next door (Mehmet's), across road (Baris) & Pub (Kinfgsher 5 mins) 15 mins walk to old town & 5 mins to beach.

  Bad points: Cost of extras, air-con (12YTL per day), safe deposit boxes (5YTL pd) & room retain after checkout time (12. Ugly points: The hotel has a no cash policy where meals & drinks are charged to your room.

  The hotel rooms are kept clean, fresh linen and towels each day. The food was good, with a wide selection of options for the buffet style breakfast and evening meals. What really made it special was how the staff and local people welcomed us as we have a 2 year old toddler and everybody made such a fuss over him.

  Arrived at 3 am, we were booked in in 5 mins and our bags taken to our room straight away with no fuss. The pool area is brilliant, it is cleaned constantly, offers shade when you need it and plenty of room to catch the rays, the only downside is people reserving the loungers then going out for the day, nobody could`ve laid in the sun for more than 4 hours at 136 degrees all day anyway, as it is, if you go a walk out in the morning than return mid morning ish there`s always 1 or 2 that have called it a day. My big bug bare with this hotel is their insistance of the guests "buying" everything from a ice lolly to and full blown meal with a swish card they issue you with, they do not accept cash for anything, i do not like or trust the system so i paid every evening at reception for that days "purchase`s", everybody moaned about it, two had their bill`s corrected after pulling them up about wrong entrys on the print out, so use at you peril. Best tip is go to the supermarket and stock the fridge up, the soft drinks they serve are cheap copies out of a plastic bottle and the draft beer is rubbish at best so if you do have a beer ask for bottled, i just went to the fridge in the room and brought drinks down to the pool, they ask you not to, but i wasn`t paying a quid for a small "coke" that was warm and flat. The staff are pretty good and friendly on the whole though. If you wanna chill out, turn right at the nordic bar on the way to the old town and you will find the surf bar and internet cafe, good staff and drinks and nice atmos, tell bernie(female) martin and sharon said hi. 235) so yes go to the kervan, its in a good position for shops and eating and drinking and you can also get a quiet night or two if you want it.

  The hotel is very clean and the staff so friendly. Stayed half board and the food was excellent, much choice and very well prepared and presented. The turkish bath at the hotel, which has only just opened, is a wonderful experience and well worth a try. The hotel has no lift which was no problem to us, but may be for anyone who has difficulty with stairs.

  The hotel overall is clean, in a decent location, had a nice pool, balcony, and everything one could ask for at this price we paid (which wasnt much. The location was fantastic, a twenty minute walk will take you into the centre of Side where it becomes very busy; a five minute walk in the other direction takes you to the main beach which was also very nice. In our transport from the airport we went through most parts of Side, and there were a couple of parts that didnt look nearly as nice as where we were staying. A couple of minor points would be the fact that they charge quite a lot for air conditioning in your room.

  Also the food was pretty poor- we ate in the hotel once at didnt again.

  Cannot rate this hotel highly enough,the staff, accomodation and food were all excellent,the rooms were very well equipped with satelite TV,fridge,hair dryer,air conditiining,beautifully decorated and a lovely sea view. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and nothing was too much trouble for them,all areas were very clean and the maid service excellent. The free bus to the beach was excellent and once you got there the sun beds and parasols were free,the beach bar was excellent and reasonably priced.

  The hotel was very quiet but the staff were excellent. The Manager was very helpful and used to dine with the guests in the evening and made a point of coming to every table to ensure we were enjoying our holiday. A small family hotel with lots of space around the pool area, no fighting for sunbeds or queues for food. The rooms were slightly on the small side but we could have moved to a larger room if we had wanted. No lift and plenty of stairs to battle to the restuarant if you stayed on the upper levels.

  The food on the first week was a bit disappointing but this was because there were only 10 guests at the hotel. But the 2nd week was a vast improvement, with both hot and cold buffet.
