My final view is that treveling to Hartford for business is not the best - and paying some of the outragous prices for Hartford hotels does not seem worth it.
While I can't recommend this property - I also can't recommend the $200+ hotels in the area - so make your choice - high cost for average, or low cost for marginal, but acceptable.
I resent having to pay $10/day for internet when it is free at most of the above hotels.
The location was wonderful, you could walk over a bridge and be in downtown Hartford.
The hotel was in a good location, in the downtown area, but off to itself on a secodary road.
Nice location and hotel has a shuttle to downtown Hartford to various corporate businesses.
This is a must because downtown is not reachable by foot.
The man who checked us in was borderline rude and when we rang him 30 minutes later to ask him to call a cab, he refused and said that he was "too busy" (not making this up).
My room and bathroom were clean, the bed was super-comfy (I loved the mountain of fancy pillows!
The bed was great and the room was very clean.
But on closer inspection, I found peeling paint on the lamps, poor repair work on the shower tiles, a dirty bathtub floor, and a blanket two sizes too small for the bed.
The upside- the bed was comfy as always, and the staff was helpful and immideatly came to our assistance with the bathroom issue.
I was given a two double bed room at 6th floor which looked very shine and morden and beautifully appointed.
Room service was prompt, the buffet breakfast was very good and our rehersal dinner food was amazing.
The food is fantastic in both restaurants that we went to.
Maybe we just didn't know where to look, but we ended up eating at the hotel restaurant.
Food in the restaurant was good but a bit overpriced.
I go downstairs to the bar where I find the waitstaff amusing themselves chatting-in an empty dining room at 2p in the afternoon.
Very friendly staff at front desk/bell desk and room service wait times can be long.
The hotel lounge staff was very kind, front desk personnel were nice and accommodating, the upside- the bed was comfy as always.
I had an issue/problem when I was there (unrelated to my stay) and the manager and front desk staff were very pleasant and did everything they could to help.
An excellent value you find yourself in Hartford, front desk clerk very friendly and accomodating, room service didn't have items.
I don't understand why they can't expand the gym by removing the swimming pool that no one uses--what a waste!
The pool and fitness room are also depressing.
Has a quaint bar/grill in the lobby, an indoor pool, and an outdoor activity area.
The staff was extremely pleasant, the room was very clean.
The staff at the Sheraton Hartford CT my travel was perfect and the room was clean and comfortable.
The staff was amazing and the rooms were spacious and clean.
