Shepheard Hotel Cairo - 开罗

The location is wonderful and the hotel is well located.

The hotel is located in a great location.

Facilities are good - there's a small souvenir shop and the hotel is located in a great location.

We arrived to check in at around 2 am in the morning, feeling rather tired and flustered after a rather unpleasant taxi-ride from the airport.

Cheap taxis to other sites, nice atmosphere and reasonable prices.

Bathrooms are large (separate rooms for toilet/bidet from bath/shower).

Room 430 was clean, big and roomy with two big double beds (both with that horrible roll in to the middle), super bathroom with full wall-width shower, bidet, good towels and lots of smelly toiletries.

Large clean room, nice and clean bathroom and toilet facilities made my stay a memorable one.

The room was large, 2 double beds, with a lovely large ensuite bathroom.

Room and bathroom were large with 2 kingsize beds and all mod cons.

We ate in one of the hotel's restaurants in the evenings and were satisfied with both the meal, service abd singer who performed during the evening.

While the buffet meals in the hotel were reasonable, I had a disappointing meal in the Indian restaurant in the hotel.

Ideal for Nile river cruises, as well as many Western food restaurants nearby such as KFC and has a peaceful fountain in the center.

The souvenir shops had great prices and the breakfasts at our hotel were fantastic.

The service in the restaurant and coffee shop was equally dreadful.

Pros: Good location, its a central hotel on the banks river Nile and the front desk staff was great.

The staff was courteous, room service were efficient and friendly, food was very good.

2 in the morning,there was a long wait for my room to be ready but oh well, it was a fairly large reception area with good security and 24 hour room service.

The reception desk staff were unbelievably slow.

The hotel was lovely and free Wi-fi in the lobby/public areas was a godsend.

If being close to the museum is a major point, I'd suggest the Nile Hilton instead, as it literally is next door and also has some nice shops and several banks in the lobby.

An amazing view, fantastic hotel and great old wooden interior elevator.

Our room was clean, the breakfast buffet was large.

The bathroom was clean, breakfast buffet was very good.

Not a bad place overall, efficient reception and nice and clean bathroom.

The room was spacious and clean- but the shower was cold (quickly sorted out the next morning though).

Its rooms are generous, comfortable, and clean.
