Shems Moon is located 23 km away from the city centre of Marrakech. If you prefer to go to the city, this is not the right place for you. But if you want to relax and just enjoy a high quality Hotel - its the place to go. Due to the fact that the hotel has a limited number of apartments and rooms it is not too crowded. The Hotel was finished 6 month ago and is therefore still brandnew. You can see this in all the different details - a mixture of new design with a combination of a berber style - fantastic. You can have a 3 course meal for 14 Euro per Person, not including wine. We never ate so good throughout all our times in Marrakech. You get a lot more value then you pay for. The pool area is great and offers big sun bathing beds. During the day you can ask for several things you need - drinks, hammam, sending away of cards...simply said the service is great and we enjoyed everything to the fullest extend.

After a few days in the busy and fast moving city of Marrakech we were glad to find this beautiful escape to relax. The distance to the city was a plus for us. We would recommend it to anyone!!! Unfortunately there are no information about the spa and the food on the website. As mentioned before, the food is extraordinary and has a superb price quality value. The hammam as well is cheaper then in Marrakech itself and is worth all its money. It is private, intimate and the women is really friendly and professional - you should not miss out on this.

The design of the hotel is very impressive. I heared that the owners are the actual architect of the hotel even if this is not their profession. The traditional and modernity is mixed in a harmonious way. The food is very good and the message is marvelous. I work a lot during the year and Shemsmoom was a small piece of paradis that made me forget my mobile and all the work. I was able to enjoy my time with my wife and relax. The staff is very kind as well as Laila and Rachid, the owners. I was able to enjoy the swimming pool too and have my morrocan tea in the outside and staring at the landscape. I recommand Shemsoon to everyone who need to relax and forget his/her problems. You can go with your familly, friends or your partner. I will defenitly come back for my next holidays.

you need a transfert each time that you want to go to the center of Marrakech. The hotel is 20 km far from the center.

Rooms were clean

Too far from medina. Expensive taxis to get and from Medina (40 euros!!) Expensive to eat at Shems Moon, can of coke cost me around £4.50!!! No wi-fi in the rooms only in reception if you stand next to the router! No TV's in the room, Breakfast very dissapointing. Stale bread and the same thing every day for 7 days!

Nice view on the atlas mountains from the suite! Very friendly and obliging hotel staff! Cool and refreshing pool with stunning view to the landscape!

This is not the right hotel for fast and near access to the city of Marrakech.

We stayed at Chems Moon as newly weds in our honeymoon and it was a wonderful experience. The Manager/Owner was there all the time taking care of every single detail. The location was fine even if it is a bit far from the city center of Marrakech. Samir (name of the person in charge) was kind and very cooperating. We were granted a free upgrade to a suite and our room was perfectly arranged. We enjoyed the privacy there and felt as if we were home. Advice to those who seek the peace of mind: Chems Moon is your place

One remark: Shower needs curtains as it might be embarassing for some people to take shower in an uncovered bathroom.
