I liked the excellent convenient location in a quiet village but close to main roads and Cambridge city. I also much appreciated the warm welcome I received and the friendly and helpful staff as well as the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The very p;easanrt grounds and the conservatory and large terrace made for a very enjoyable stay.

The gardens, the lake and feeding the swan & Ducks.

The low roof in the Attic room we stayed in (banged our heads a few times). We are both over 6 feet tall!!

The room looked quite shabby and I could hear the people in the room above and next door to me moving about. Also it was quite gloomy.

The hotel was set in beautiful grounds, with a river and water mill. The hotel was ideally postioned for access to Cambridge, Park & Ride, and the M11. The staff were all pleasant and very helpful.

The bedrooms that we saw (2) are in need of refitting and redecoration. We booked our room well in advance and when we arrived and were shown to this room, only then did we find that the only bed was a king size water bed, which we immediately declined. At no time were we advised of this prior to our arrival at the hotel. The food was poor and at one evening dinner the fish was off!

Pretty setting with view of pond, ducks and swan from our room, friendly staff, good quality food. Peaceful but convenient for visiting Cambridge (by train from Meldreth) and Duxford Museum.

Room 4 was a small double and very hot and cramped when booked as a family room with an extra camp bed for our teenager.

Great location, convenient for us visiting friends

Although room description was spacious, it was in fact a very small room and the bathroom was so small that I had to dry myself in bedroom & still not much room. It was fairly expensive for such a small room. We will not stay again & will advise friends not to.

A lovely hotel, beautiful garden, nice surroundings. This hotel is not far from Cambridge, and after visiting the city it is very nice to come home to Sheene Mill. There are walking possi.bilities directly from the hotel. We will come back

rooms are pretty, gardens lovely, good breakfast, lots of little extras in the room. staff friendly, good locatoion

unfortunately, on the night i stayed the kitchen extractor fan had broken and started vibrating the whole room, (our room was very close to the kitchen) at 7 o'clock. For me this ruined my stay, i only paid £70 pound to be close to a venue so i could sleep a few hours longer in the morning. if i had wanted to get up at seven i could have driven down. Staff were friendly but couldn't solve the problem, tried to move me to another room for an hour or so but i couldn't sleep then due to having to get dressed and moving about. They would only refund me £15. For me i felt i had wasted all that money but they wouldn't budge which was sad. Good hotel for every other reason.

Beautiful setting, lovely gardens, large comfortable bedroom and comfortable soft bed (usually too hard in hotels), eclectic charm - good well chosen quality furnishings, etc. Comfortable bar area. Conservatory with lovely view, nicely lit at night, small size, attentive staff, good value 2 nights for 1 deal.

Bedroom slightly tatty, paint off etc - wouldn't take much to spruce up. Smell on entry. Lack of proper shower in the en-suite. Evening dining tables set in an annexe not the main dining room with the nice view. Dinner nicely prepared but starter and main meal (fish) portions small, still hungry afterwards! - dinner not value for money. However good restaurant in the village with cheaper bigger meals, The Old Elm Tree, recommended. Would recommend stay on basis of the deal, would have been disappointed at full price I think.

Very quiet and peaceful in a beautiful setting.

The SatNav takes you to the wrong place. If you find yourself near or under a road bridge, turn around and turn right at T-junction. Hotel is 100 yards on the right.
