Settlers Beach Villa Hotel Holetown

Perfect for a short taxi ride to all the best restaurants, the beach is fabulous and the location couldn't be more fantastic.

The location just north of Holetown is superb and all of the staff throughout the hotel are fantastic.

Bar area is great at lunchtime and the location of the hotel is very convenient.

After much waiting, we finally arrived in Barbados airport (which is currently being refurbished) and were whisked off on a minbus to our villa.

We used the local buses a lot and the longest we ever had to wait was 5mins, 25p per trip, anywhere on the island.

There is a great deal of living space to spread yourselves around (we had a 14 & 12 yr old with us), loads of room to leave diving/snorkelling gear to dry without it dripping around the bedrooms or bathrooms.

They all have a great kitchen, living room, dining room, big bedrooms and ours had 3 bathrooms!

Upstairs were two spacious bedrooms with full baths for each bedroom (air conditioned).

We went on a glass bottomed boat ride and even when you are quite a way out, you can still see the sea bed because the water is so clear.

Each apartment / "villa" is self contained with large living area (not air conditioned) and large bedroom (with air con).

The others in the bar are great fun and the restaurant is extremely good.

It is also located in Holetown with shops, a post office, supermarket and restaurants close by.

The restaurant overlooks the tranquil beach, the nearby supermarket was more than adequate and one of the better more reasonable places we found to eat in was Cocomos.

We found Settlers to be ideally situated to lots of restaurants and there were banks, shops and supermarket all within a 10min walk away.

Spago, the resort restaurant, is a new addition and I have to say the three times we ate there evening and night the food was wonderful and service was on Barbados time, i.

Bar area is great at lunchtime and from Reception through to Housekeeping the staff are really helpful.

We had a rocky start to our trip because our luggage was lost when we got to Barbados, but the front desk staff pointed us in the right direction to find some necessities.

The staff are very nice and helpful, the manager of the restaurant is very friendly and welcoming.

The staff are fantastic and the maids do a good job of cleaning.

Each one faces on to a well kept garden and pool area which in turn is virtually on the beach.

The pool is small, and nearly always empty.

We were looking for a quiet, friendly place with a calm beach and pool.

Friendly place and the rooms spacious and clean.
