I haven't found many hotels with such a good beach for this price.
Hotel Serapo is pretty good value, considering its prime location on Serapo beach.
This hotel has a nice location, friendly staff and the water clear.
It would probably be a good idea to hire a car, as travelling around can be quite complicated if you are not use to the public transport system.
Buses are every 20mins to Formia(2euros each) which is 'jumping off point' for most destinations.
After my first stay even with hard beds, we came back thinking we would have better luck with a different bed, nope, hard also.
Our room was spacious and the bathroom was very clean.
We've traveled to Italy beaches before so the extra beach bed and umbrella costs charged were not a surprise.
The rooms were basic but clean; the bathroom needed updating and the breakfasts quite poor, however the view from the balcony almost made up for this.
Our room was clean but the furniture/decor was very tired.
There is very good food (mostly seafood) to be had in several restaurants in the area.
Gaeta itself is fairly dreadful for restaurant food.
So we had a few meals in the hotel restaurant and were amazed when we got our bill.
Agostino restaurant, also located in Gaeta.
Breakfasts were a bit of a letdown, though.
Reasonable price and nothing special the staff was attentive and pleasant.
The staff is friendly and showers are free.
They do not have a maintance staff available to fix it and they make no apoligies for the lack of airconditioning on 95 degree days and nights!
The view was absolutely spectacular, the hotel was clean and the staff were largely friendly.
Beautiful surroundings, the beach was great and the staff was courteous.
The staff is friendly and you cant beat the view.
The indoor swimming pool was being re furbished whilst we were there, so out of bounds.
Also gaeta itself is lovely and clean and spacious single room.
You can find cheaper nearby but no guarantee of as good maintenance or access to showers or clean toilets.
Our beach/view was great asset, the staff was accommodating and the bathroom was very clean.
