We got a taxi into Elounda and caught the local boat across.

Negatives - Air con was a bit border line in the main room, whilst bungalow was better but blew straight down on the bed.

I found the hotel to be very clean, what I liked about the room service is that when they cleaned the rooms in the mornings you were left with two beach towels ready for the following day.

There are not many sun umbrellas which is why people go out early with their towels in order to get a bed plus umbrella.

The maids were wonderful/ friendly ensuring clean towels, bed linen every day and the beach towels too.

The bed , however was hard and uncomfortable and here is the real downside, the air conditionimg was non- existent and I spent every night cooling myself down with wet towels!

Last negative - we were there during heat wave (46 deg's) and hotel complex was not air conditioned (restaurant/reception/bar).

The staff were not the friendliest, the bar maid and one out of three restaurant waiters were the friendliest.

The food at breakfast was good, but we were not always happy with the evening meals, the choice of meals varied and it was not always as hot as it could have been.

We stayed on a half board basis and were very pleased with the quality and choice of food as well as the stunning views from the restaurant.

Food was not great but was okay and was what one would expect from buffet type meals; the breakfast was as good as any other similar priced hotel.
