The rooftop breakfast with river views, spacious and beautifully furnished rooms, excellent location by the Mekong River, pleasant views and sunsets from the rooftop restaurant, friendly staff, complementary taxi to the airport.

The hotel was right on the banks of the Mekong River, offering a beautiful riverside location. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was decent. The hotel was located close to the night market.

It is a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. As a female solo traveller the road is dark and quiet so best to take a tuk-tuk if out late.

The pool is big and the breakfast had a variety of options to choose from. The hotel is also in a great location, close to all the New Year's festivities.

I got a very nice, big and clean room (actually I was upgrated) in the Sengtawan Riverside Hotel for my three days stay. If you don't want to stay in the middle of the action, the hotel is a very good choice and value. By bicycle, it's just 5 or 10 minutes to the center. The view from the restaurant down to the river is great and I think one of the best in Vientiane. Compared to other hotels in Vientiane, it has more style.

The price for renting a bicycle in the hotel is extremely expensive comared to the price outside the hotel. It was not possible to bring local woman in the hotel. I know it's against the law, but other hotels do allow it.

This is a perfectly adequate hotel, rather far out of town for a tourist. A shuttle service to town would help. It was very quiet. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

It was far out of town. I found the breakfast over ambitious. There was too much choice on offer and some had been sitting out for far too long. The restaurant is already looking somewhat shaby and the hotel is fairly new. The hotel is excellently placed on the river. There is potential to use the riverside location as a feature of the hotel, ie, riverside bar restaurant, or to revamp the rooftop restaurant for the evenings.

The hotel is conveniently located right on the banks of the Mekong River, near the night market. This gives guests the opportunity to explore the vibrant local food scene and enjoy the beautiful river views. the rooms are quite spacious with comfortable beds and the bathrooms are kept clean and tidy.

The restaurant on the top floor of the hotel could use some improvement in terms of cleanliness and ambiance.

The Staff were very Friendly, they all tried very hard to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The Food was good, the Room was big, the Service was great.

Definitely a good value: large rooms, good beds and bathroom, friendly staff and a pleasant breakfast.

However, the hotel is actually located away from the town center, the street in front of the hotel is unpaved and often muddy. We needed to take a taxi into town, and the cab rates were high. You would be better off in a hotel nearer to the center.

The Sengtawan Riverside Hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices and attention to detail. The location of the hotel is fantastic, situated directly on the banks of the Mekong River, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located across from the riverside food markets, allowing guests to easily explore local cuisine and culture. The service provided by the staff is excellent, and the basic amenities are in good condition. The rooms offer a great view of the Mekong River from the rooftop restaurant, and the bathroom includes a good-sized bath for added comfort. Lastly, the breakfast served at the hotel is delightful, with a nice view of the Mekong River from the rooftop.

Loved the rooftop restaurant/bar and the view from there. Was very happy with the chance to explore Vientiane from a comfortable base.

Found it a little difficult from the website to know whether the rooms were suitable for friends to share comfortably. Would have sometimes liked to have easily found transport into town from there... It was quite a walk at times!

Not good breakfast! All was louder! I couldnt sleep1 I could hear allfrom another room!The first evening I was in the rest and very bad service!The bill had twa meals but I eat only one!
