Getting there

You can get to Zermatt by train from Geneva making a change at Visp or Brig (not all the fast trains stop at Visp). If you come from Basel, Zurich, Bern or Milan you have to change at Brig. The Glacier-Express from Chur or St Moritz goes straight through to Zermatt. Zermatt is a car-free resort. Motorists must leave their cars at Tasch, the village before Zermatt. You can park either at the public car park or in an underground garage (spaces can be reserved by the hotel). From Tasch you proceed to Zermatt by taxi or train.
